I've lived in Los Angeles my entire life. Currently I'm near Culver City, about 5 miles from Santa Monica.
There was a small earthquake yesterday afternoon.
When an earthquake wakes me up, I wait to make sure it's over, then turn around and go back to sleep. When out in public and there's an earthquake, most of us just look at each other and estimate the magnitude. We're pretty accurate!

I have never been to California. But I have seen pictures on the internet! LOL
I am such a fraidy cat. I think I would drop dead of shock if I ever went there and there was an E~A~R~T~H~Q~U~A~K~E. First off, if I flew, I know my plane would crash and I'd live, but I know it would crash in the ocean, then the sharks would swim around me but they would find other things to eat, and I'd live, but I know when I got to land, there would be an E~A~R~T~H~Q~U~A~K~E, and I would drop on the spot. So I don't think I will make it to California. As much as I am starting to dislike the snowy weather here, I love the four seasons. The trees are starting to get buds on them. The Robins are back and Spring is in the air.
So I can't help you in this thread unless you decide to move to Wisconsin or Upper Michigan!

I've never been to California, but would like to visit sometime soon. Any sugestions other than the big cities, to visit ? Stelly and I are heavy into camping.
I would recommend a trip to Yosemite National Park; I live about 20 miles south from the gates of Yosemite. It's one of the world's most beautiful natural wonders; fantastic waterfalls, deep valleys, giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, great for camping, hiking, and so forth. It's in the Sierra Nevadas about 200 miles south and east of San Francisco. Do a google or a yahoo search and you will learn a lot more about it.
