After a lot of hunting, I found this explanation from picman:
It's simple
We take the longest x% of uninterrupted (except for upgrades or conversions to the new system) Game Club members as List A.
We take y% of customers with the greatest total games purchased as list B.
We then merge List A and List B together and remove duplicate customers (some will be both Longest and Most!)...Those are our "Biggest Fish"!
And no, I do not know what the value of "x%" and "y%" are and I do not want to. Only our super secret customer care uber-marketeer knows and he(she?) keeps it in a treasure chest bound with chains and paddlelocks and stored at the bottom of Elliot Bay outside our offices!

I have purchased 125 games plus about 15 gifted games since 2007 . So say 140 including gifts.
The said thing was , scrolling down I realized how many of the games I have not gotten to yet and forgot about. I am going to have to go play through that list. (one day)

Poodle, my first game purchase as a club member was 3/29/07, and I have 154 games from BF. I got an award, and was very surprised when I did. You should definitely have one coming with your # of games. I'm wondering IF they are sending them out alphabetically, just a thought. My last name starts with a H. Would that possibly be an explanation as to why?????

If they are taking only a percentage of the customers who meet those qualifications, not everyone is going to get an award because they are not taking the whole list but only a percentage of it. That's the way I read it any way.

Poodle,
I would think for sure you'd have one. Maybe hasn't shipped yet, or maybe it got lost or sent to different address. Have you contacted CS? Someone has to have a list of who they are shipped to and whether they've been shipped to everyone yet.
I had around 175 games in June and have been a member since 11/07

I've been a member since June of 2008 and have just under 150 games. I agree with the others it would never hurt to contact CS someone has to have a list of the awardees somewhere.

I don't think that works because number of items includes pictures and other info, so it would be one for the game, one for the picture, one for each of the tabs, etc.
Anyone get one who's been a long-time member but not too many games?

I did contact CS yesterday so we'll see. *fins crossed*
For those wondering about how to get count of games I... well... counted them. I went to my "My Game Club" and "Purchase History" lists the first time someone asked here how many games we had and I cut and pasted the info into Notepad and edited it up to be neater and I keep it up to date every so often. I like lists...

I finally saved and printed mine out. I think I need to do that again. I'm sure you'll get one Poodle. After reading how many games everyone else has purchased I'm starting to think maybe, just maybe I might be just a little too addicted to these games. I'm reading 100, 150, 200 and I'm sitting here with about 400 games from BF alone! Imagine at the end of next year...

Bottom of your screen? Which screen is that?

I can see your logic here, but I don't think they would leave it to chance as to which customers who had been a member for 12 months would get the award. I THINK the percentage is referring to the amount of time you've been a member and the number of games you own so that anyone who has been a member for whatever that certain amount of time is and who owns whatever that certain number of games is would get the award. I just can't see them skipping over people who have higher numbers and still giving awards to people with lower numbers just because of the percentage thing. Just my opinion. Maybe Picman or someone will step in here to clarify this.

I think I see what you are saying. If i have been a member for 2 years but have only bought 6 games, I would be less likely to get one than someone who has been a member for 1 year but has bought 25 games. Is that what you mean?

That's how I see it, OhPlease. I just wasn't sure how to explain it very well.
The thing is, the "secret formula" has already been decided and that is how they have been sending out the awards to date. To change it because some people thought they would/should receive one really wouldn't be fair to those who have already received one or are on the list to receive one soon. If you're going to change the formula after the fact, you may as well send an award to every customer and take away any aspect of "special" that has been attached to receiving it.

Excellent point, pd. I'm sure BF is not saying some of you are special and some of you are not (which is true, BTW), They are merely saying we are sending random thank yous to some of our members.
