LOVE THIS GAME. ITS RELAXING AND NOT FRUSTRATING TRIYING TO FIND TINY AND DARK OBJECTS. I ENJOY A CHALLENG BUT I ALSO LIKE TO RELAX. LOVE THE VARIETY OF GAMES. TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT. THE ONLY DOWNFALL IS THERE IS NO TIMED MODE WHICH I LIKE BECAUSE IT MAKES THE GAME MORE CHALLENGING.

So would you say this is the same game as Rosecliff Island in a different setting? Spintop seems to make the same games over and over, which is not a bad thing as they do Old School HOGs better than anybody, just wondering if anyhting had changed?

The style/setup/graphix is more EFRI than the other AAs, so it has a similar feel that might make folks think it's a re-run. The skulls are up top whereas the locks were at the bottom, but they kept the faux wood borders etc. Instead of photos for locations there's a Caribbean map. They did re-use a lot of the objects but SpinTop does it so well it's not really an irk factor, & there are naturally a lot of new nautical & piratical things. All the scenes are totally new, nothing's been re-used from EFRI due to the new setting. There's a minigame after each scene, but they're old school EZ types. I don't recall how far I got in the demo, but even tho eventually SpinTop sends one back to the same places to get an additional opportunity to collect the bonuses, in an hr I hadn't had one repeat yet. I think a level every 5 min isn't going to be the norm for most b/c of how well the graphix are done; you want to enjoy them longer than that. I do think it was a bit easier than EFRI. That took me a good long time to get thru ( & wouldn't you know it, I only got 49 of the darn locks LOL so I had to re-play to open unlimited), maybe 3 hrs or so. I like the unlimited thing b/c you can just do a few rounds of your fav places if you want to kill a little time.

Poodlebear, like the other SpinTop Amazing Adventures, you have your usual HOs, mini-games, match 3, and find 2 additoinal objects, in this one, you find 2 skulls. What's different from the others is a little-tiny bit of interaction in each scene. You find and object and pair it with another. In this game, different from the others, when you found all the skulls, you open unlimited **** scenes plus match three.

I think SpinTop does the best with HOGs, their art work gets better as they go. While yes, the games have the same game play, the scenes are always very different. For those looking for a good HOG that doesn't tax the brain and will provide long relaxing play time, this game and the others in the series are a most. This game gets both my approval and my purchase

I agree that nobody does quality straight up hidden object focused games like Spintop.. However these games last sooooo long (I'm still working on Rosecliff Island) I find I only need to buy one every 9 months or so. BTW Rosecliff also has that little bit of Interactivity too which I think is the cherry on the top and helps drive off some of the sameness feel. One thing these games do that I love is the word clues rather than directly naming the objects. I wish more HOGs would do that.

Loving this game. Does anyone know if there is another secret item besides Skulls? Sometimes there is and when you find them all you get like another 100,000 points. I'm probably thinking of another series. I tend to get them mixed up.

Still playing demo and think it's a great game. Not too heavy on the brain and so far have found one type of puzzle I love - turning all squares blue. Will definitely buy.

Hi,

I wouldn't have minded trying this game out, but have downloaded it 3 times and keeps coming up with error, tried all the tips BF says but still no go, have had no problems with any other game.

Hope you all enjoy it.

Cheers

Wow, what a suprising good game. I wasn't expecting it to be as fun as it was. With the skulls and more difficult mini games, I was definitely entertained.

A must if you want a good value for your money. I've spent at least five hours and am nowhere near done. The HOs aren't too obscure and the mini-games are quick and fun. I also like the word clues; they keep you on your toes.

Sorry, I'm going to be a bit negative on this HOG. It, to me, got very ponderous after the 4th or 5th time through the same scenes and only slightly changed puzzles. It looked to me like the game was just overly stretched to make it seem like it contained more content than it really does.

Sorry, thumbs down on this one.

The bad news about the "Amazing Adventures" games is that if you've played one, you've played them all.

The good news about the "Amazing Adventures" games is that if you've played one, you've played them all. You know exactly what you're getting when you play one of them.

I really enjoy these games because they're a great way to spend a bit of time when you don't want to tax your poor, tired brain too much. The objects aren't too hard to find, neither are the skulls, and the mini-games are quick and easy. The "Amazing Adventures" games are no "Return to Ravenhurst", but they're fun, and I now own all three.

Question: If you miss a skull, can you go back to the scene and collect it? I just started and forgot to find a 2nd skull in an early scene.

I have all the AA games and there is only one thing that bothers me. Especially in this one ... has anyone noticed all the smoking related objects ?????? I've never seen so many cigars, lighters, matches, cigarettes, pipes etc. No other HOG I've ever played has these.

I think there is a subliminal message to smoke being put out by someone creating these.
