That's a surprise! I've always read your name as Puzzle Done!

Oh gee I did a double entendre again. Wasn't thinking of music, but so many here broke or in dire circumstances this time of year, a club or game for gamers in dire straits. Maybe that's an old fashioned term, now it's busted. No, that is arrested. See how puzzled I am?
CALLYSTAR, maybe you missed picman's post how their website payment thingy is hardwired this way for $6.99 game credits. It may be reprogrammed after the first of the year to accept odd amounts of payment besides our club stuff which is locked in. I don't think they realized the programming because they never sell $19.99 games before and can't be done now in time. I think I got that right but don't quote me, find his post a day or two ago. Just one of those computer things not anticipated when they already revamped the system and site. So, any game of your choosing means any $6.99 game as a club member.
EDIT in other words 3 game credits = $20.97 not $19.99 so the computer would just go whacko with how to deal with giving change. That is why he said maybe they could figure out a way laterfor us to buy the reg ver for a credit and maybe they could do an add on or rebuild if you want the extras on game credits. No promises but they're working on it. No dishonesty here, just a goof not thought out in the rush to release I'm sure.

Hi folks!
Since we now have an official forum for this game, I've gone ahead and moved this thread.
Cheers!

I think this is something that BFG needs to consider and enable the technology to do in the near future as they will definately find an increase in sales if they allowed people to use their game credits/certificates to get a discount from any future special edition priced games.
I quite agree with you

To reiterate. Credits could not be used for the Collectors Edition as the game manager is hard wired for one game equaling one credit. They will fix this when they do a game manger upgrade. So, it is impossible to do anything but purchase the game outright if you want this version.
The regular version will be out earlyish December. They still need to do the partition (or whatever they called it) for the demo time and will try to get it close to an hour, before they release the regular version.
Also, it has been stated that sales from the Collectors Edition help to offer the game for $6.99. This game is a major expense and I don't have a problem paying more for it to help with the production of the next one. Something that is planned on all year can be saved for at about $2 a month.

I was feeling a bit alone at not being able to afford the Collector's Edition but, after reading all of these posts, I found I'm far from alone. Thanks so much to all of you! It means a lot when you find others in the same predicament. I wish so much that I could buy this one but, then, I started thinking, it really is risky buying a game without being able to play a trial first and what if I bought it and found it too difficult?
$19.99 is a lot to pay for a game, especially if you find you don't like it or it's too hard for you to play. And really, I'm blessed in many ways. I have a home, enough food, a wonderful husband. Those are really the things to be grateful for. So, after thinking about it and reading your posts, I'm happy to wait a few more days for the regular version.

It would be irresponsible of me to spend 19.99 on a game I can get for 6.99 if I only wait another week or so.
