Ideas for the developers

[Post New]by PixiPond on Sep 7, 13 12:30 PM
Hi all,

I looked at the title name of the forum discussions and didn't find a centralized place where we can post ideas for the developers. So, I thought to create this new discussion.

Here are a few as a start:

+ Music on Amicus Island (A different one. Currently it's very quiet there.)
+ Something green initiative related for fishing up junk:
e.g. have a quest for that and get rewarded with some gold or a decorative item for the ranch, and if having fished out a lot, get a fertilizer for a plot.
+ Enable people to befriend (I saw someone listed that before already, and DJ Arts is looking into that), so that they can find each other when playing the game. Not everyone I already have befriended with for example I can contact via the chat room. With the ability of befriending, the ability to remove someone from the friend list and to report, would be needed as well.
+ Enable a way for players to leave messages for each other if they like to.

Hello PixiPond, thank you for taking the time to post your ideas.

We are looking into making new music possibly but there is no guarantee that new music would be made for Amicus Isle.

I have seen many ideas for doing something with junk and I can say I think your is the best. It could be coupled with a green message about recycling. I will pass your idea on to the other developers.

Having a friend system on BFG is something we have planned on doing someday. I don't have an ETA for when that would be completed though, if at all.

Again thank you for your feedback.

Here's another idea:
Being able to sell old trinkets. Or combine them into new ones. I have a dowsing rod that I'm not going to use anymore (bought the better one), so what do I do with the old one?

@Sapphirian - That is a highly requested feature. While there are no current plans to implement that idea it is something that we have considered.

What about using them in the alchemy? Like as part of the process, it would use the item up, and you could get a longer duration/better odds on the runes?

That's a great idea. It certainly has some logic to it. Breaking down magic trinkets to make new magic items would be pretty cool. I will mention this suggestion to the other developers.

How about having the town crier announce building projects. I played the game for over 40 days and did not realize Misty needed help with the stable. I thought the footprint of the game ended at the general store and market.

So even though I was "talking" to the town crier for quests every day, I really missed out and am still playing "catch up".

Thanks!

Well the good news is that the quests for the buildings in the Commons aren't level specific so once you get started on them you can eventually build all of them.

Misty seems to be the only out of the way NPC that some people can't find. That being said, I like your suggestion. The Town Crier seems to know what Nate is up to so it makes sense if he was able to tell players about the buildings.

I have friends here but the only way we can talk is on the island. I'd like to have them visit me at my ranch where we could talk privately and see each others ranches. Also maybe there could be a way for friends to trade items. For instance, I have all this sports stuff but I don't really like sports too much and will never use them at my ranch (except the one I was required to put up to win what i needed during the event and now can't get rid of...not even back into my inventory) anyway, I digress, if I could trade those items with a friend who does like sports maybe I could get something I like that they don't want from them. The ranch would also be a great place to have a mailbox so your friends could contact you that they're around and you could plan to meet on the island or at somebody's ranch.

1)Bring Bush Wh@cker 1 & Mystic Guardians (same developer) to Bigfish Online Games.

2)Allow Club Credits to purchase Bush Bucks. Or that thing where you watch a specific amount of daily sponsored ads that comes to the value of a bush buck. (I think watching an ad is valued at 30 cents on Facebook).

3)More retro game costumes. When I found Link's Minish cap, I was most eager to find more 16 bit retro costumes based on Zelda, Final Fantasy, Mario, Sonic, Pokemon, Crusader of Centy, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Ultima, Warcraft, Might & Magic, Diablo, etc.

4)Sound option that plays chiptune versions of the soundtrack for a more retro feel.

5)A few character design options; Tiny button nose (both genders), no lipstick (women), epic long hair (both genders).

6)Try before you buy: See what an object looks like on your character prior to purchase.

Note: Why is the name of the game censored in posts?

@EweJoy - More ways to interact with friends are something we are exploring but it could take some time. We appreciate your feedback.

@LikaLaruku - 1.) I'll mention to the other developers about the interest in these games on Big Fish.
2.) There may be technical reasons why this kind of feature hasn't been implemented but I can ask for you.
3.) Retro costumes are always awesome. Again I'll pass on the interest in this.
4.) This is a really cool idea it might take some time to get it implemented though if it is greenlight.
5.) Noted!
6.) This is a great idea unfortunately it won't be coming to BW2.

I really really would like to have 2 planting plots for every additional area at my farm. The sixth area is already at 20000 coins and awfully expensive...

Oh and by the way: the stingrays on Amicus Island could give a little energy, too. At least they are fish, aren't they?

I think the Bush Buck prices should be cut in half permanently.

100 Bush Bucks = $10 real world dollars, for a digital sword or pet the game has an infinite number of?

I can buy an expansion pack with all the bit & bobs for $20.

I'm thinking unless it's extremely rare & limited, no single item should cost more than $3-$5.

When stuff is really cheap, it encourages you to buy more things more often. When it's expencive, it tells you that you're right to be stingy about how you spend.

Yes! I would spend more in total if I got used to buying more things. And I LOVE shopping for bargains, so specials more than once a month would be great!

Hi there
I would like to see you consider doing buy 1 get 1 free this is a great game but it takes way to long to build energy..therefore you would spend a fortune to get a couple few hour of play time...most game have a lot better deals to them than this one does and if you check my account you would see that ....where this idea may not be the best maybe another alternative could be buy 3 get one of same level free please consider so we can play longer in one setting without going poor. thank you for considering this plea.

Thank you for the feedback about the pricing. When you launch the game you will notice there are often package deals that contain many items for a single price. They vary but often contain pets, custom items for both avatar and or the ranch and some bush bucks making them great value for purchasing.

A perfect example is the starter pack which comes with 100 bush bucks, the golden compass trinket and 10, 000 gold and a chest of gems and a panda pet, exclusive to the package.

So while it is not likely for the game to have mass price cuts we will be continuing to offer different package deals to provide a lot of value for anyone who purchases them.

I suggest having a fishing tournament. Maybe do something special with the fishing bonus during the tournament. It looks like the max bonus is 25% right now. Maybe raise the max to 35% during the tournament? And throw in a few special fish during the tournament, like sharks or jellyfish or blowfish...something cool.

A fishing tournament would be a lot of fun. I will pass on this suggestion to the other developers.

I'd like to have a button to get to amicus, and from amicus to get to town. I would also like to have the option to "turn off" shortscut to ranch etc once on amicus. Running around there and misclick..
