Love the game the graphics are outstanding. But one thing--- it would be great if the regular items and craft items on the wish list were separated. This would make it sooo much easier when placing items on your wish list.

Thank you

Just started playing this a few weeks ago; very fun and addictive. I like the HOG scenes, the artwork and the music but now that I'm at Level 11, the wait times for the scenes are getting ridiculous and frankly, boring.

Yes, I collect flowers and am pretty good at getting them but after a 45 minute wait for a scene for an item that I need, which I may not even get and then I'm supposed to wait another 45 minutes to do that scene again? Ridiculous. Hunting for flowers for that long puts me right to sleep.

Today I was frustrated by the realization that doing a scene to get a particular item did *not* count as fulfillment for the Archivist's request that I visit that scene. I nearly uninstalled the game right then and there.

I see comments about people spending money on this; something I strictly refuse to do. It's "free" game and if it requires that I spend money to keep up with levels, I won't do it. I simply can't afford that even if the developers plan that into the play, it's not happening from me.

I'd like to continue but unless this becomes less frustrating, I doubt that I will.

Now a couple days later I'm further disenchanted. Yes, I'd love to play and compete but when the Castle Challenge has 2 days more on it and the Archivist wants me to feed my pet 6 times within a 1-1/2 hour time limit and then feeding my pet once sets up a 2 hour wait or I can pay 118 diamonds?

Yeah, tell me again this is a free game.

I'm annoyed enough by the subtle reminder that one only gets ahead in life is one can pay to do it and that poor folk have to work lots harder, and pay more than we can afford to stay in the game.

I really wanted to have fun, not be reminded through a game how very inequitable economics is. I get enough of that in real life.

A have an idea to better the mini challenges.

Make it so that players have to activate to participate.

Last mini challenge was spoiled by players who did not participate, but just played there own game... which is allright for players to do, but then players who are in it to win it should not be harmed by that.

I have been playing for 18 months now and I am still addicted to the game. I sign on 2-3 times a day and 'run through the castle' collecting items, gifting friends, doing the challenges and achieving long term goals. This is such an easy-to-play game for people who hate timers and solving impossible puzzles. The graphics are beautiful. I have not had to spend a single penny to achieve everything within the game, but that does mean you put in more time. I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants to play at your pace and to those who are fanatical about achieving every goal as fast as you can, both options are available.

The scenes are beautiful and the puzzles challenging! I WAS really enjoying this game, but the wait times are ridiculous! If I play every single puzzle I earn about 4000 coins and it cost 6500 to unlock anything and then one needs 1500 to transfigure stuff! I have spent the last 2 days stuck trying to get enough coins and 1 unique stamp! I am so frustrated I am getting to the uninstall point! The cost of buying coins is outrageous and I would sooner go find another game than pay to play. The last point I wish to make is; why connect so many items to the same scene?! There have been quest where half the items need require going back to the same scene 4 times! That takes 4hrs or $40 in diamonds! This is starting to feel like a cash grab game.

I started slow, not sure I cared for the game - but it was free. Fast forward and I am seriously addicted. I have one criticism - you have to play multiple times during the day or you have to purchase gems to get ahead quickly.

My real reason for posting is the recurrent theme among the characters. The story line reminds me of:

The Valley of Unrest

_Once_ it smiled a silent dell
Where the people did not dwell;
They had gone unto the wars,
Trusting to the mild-eyed stars,
Nightly, from their azure towers,
To keep watch above the flowers,
In the midst of which all day
The red sun-light lazily lay,
_Now_ each visitor shall confess
The sad valley's restlessness.
Nothing there is motionless--
Nothing save the airs that brood
Over the magic solitude.
Ah, by no wind are stirred those trees
That palpitate like the chill seas
Around the misty Hebrides!
Ah, by no wind those clouds are driven
That rustle through the unquiet Heaven
Unceasingly, from morn till even,
Over the violets there that lie
In myriad types of the human eye--
Over the lilies that wave
And weep above a nameless grave!
They wave:--from out their fragrant tops
Eternal dews come down in drops.
They weep:--from off their delicate stems
Perennial tears descend in gems.

I have loved playing Midnight Castle … right up until the new flashlight mode was added. Truthfully, I have gone from playing daily to almost never playing anymore! I agree with others who are not enjoying the new mode. I have no problem with the new mirror or silhouette modes but that flashlight needs to at least shine on an area larger than the tip of my finger! (Otherwise known as my stylus. )

Searching for hidden objects within the “corolla” of my finger tip is a non-starter!
Perhaps a larger area of illumination or even having the light shine ahead of the stylus/finger instead of under it?! I hope someone will please consider making a change for the flashlight in the next update? Please!

Update: Thanks so much to the two folks who showed me the simple fix!
The "disable night mode" is in "settings" under an "additional settings" button.
So simple and I'm now very happily back playing Midnight Castle!
Thanks for your help!!

Hang in there !! Last 30 day challenge I knew I wasn't far enough in the game to be able to comfortably accomplish it so I just decided to wait so that I wouldn't be frazzled. I looked at the open map and realized that I would be playing for a long time to open all of the games' locations so I might as well work at a pace that I was comfortable with. I play daily and am now doing the new challenge and am loving it. I have yet to spend any real money but am not opposed to it because developers continue to evolve this game and should be rewarded for such.

I am on level 50 and this game has been monotonous since level 40. I get more "RARE" and "UNUSUAL" stamps than I do "PLAIN" stamps. From one end of the kingdom to the other, I get (an average) one PLAIN stamp out of all those HO scenes. But you need more PLAIN stamps than any of the others to craft items. Totally ridiculous.

I have a problem with this game. I word and by the time I get home it's almost 6PM. So I only have a few hours till I have to get ready for work the next day. I'm on level 74 and have 77?hidden object scenes to do and out those scenes I only get 4 of the amulets. So now in two days I have gotten 11 amulets that's not fair. I'm getting discouraged with this game. I should at least out of 77 scenes I should be able to get my 20 amulets.
It sucks raw pickled eggs!!

I have been waiting for something exciting to happen for the last six months! I am BORED, BORED, BORED! I am on the last level and still waiting - the seasonal games are OK but after going through ALL the HOS in each city, and still could get through a daily level, I just quit and did not come back until this inane puzzle nonsense! I want to get back to playing the original game and will just catch up on all my collectors editions until something exciting happens. I can almost guess, by now, that the next update will be spring - again - and back to making the same quests that we made last spring with the same 'room' to spend $ buying furnishings - who on earth has ever had 10,000 diamonds? They would have to be real for me to spend that kind of $!
Guess I just need to quit for awhile - as the further you get the more boring it becomes.

SIX MONTHS! "Diane SS42" I think you have demonstrated a Great Strength in Character & should be commended! You have much more resolve than I.

6 months ago, when I started this game, there were a lot of folks who had already reached Level 74. I figured by the time I got there, new Levels would have been added.
I reached the Level 74 a couple of weeks ago, & am finding myself pretty darned bored.
The Puzzles were a temporary diversion, but I had collected all the pieces in a week. I know you can go back & do them again, and try for some of the inventory pieces, but that does get a tad boring also.

Now I log in the three times to gift my friends, but after that, I either exit the game or do a few of the Gnome's Daily Quests (the reward items seem better at this level), & perhaps a few of the Character Quests before exiting.

How long can it possibly take to add new levels? They don't have to re-create everything!

I have been stuck on level 74 way before oct to the moderators what is the point of these forums when you cannot answer questions from the gamers. like when or is there going to be any new levels added if not it is only fare and the right thng to be honest us with us I have played for almost 3 years and like others spent money. I read online that bfg is making a $100,000.00 a week by this game alone. surely that is enough to complete this game with an ending. if re cannot get answers then what is the point of these forums yes I have enjoyed playing but enough is enough stall time finish the game give us either more levels or an ending

Yeah I'm really disappointed now. I've been playing this game for years and it keeps getting worse. I've stuck with it and waited and waited but my patience is running very thin. I believe it has been over six months since the last update and then they only give us 2 levels. Hardly worth the time I say, for both the devs and myself in updating time. Took me one day to complete,
I spent the last long break in updates doing one round a day and gifting friends. Not sure if I want to do that again for six months. The spring event hopefully will start although that gets boring too after awhile. I've completed most of the attainable challenges so not sure what to do now.
I did purchase diamonds a couple of times then realized that with the lack of updates it wasn't worth the money. I just wait it out and work through it.
At least give us some mini events, castle challenges and start the tourneys again. It kept me amused at least.
Just saying I'm getting frustrated and infuriated at the same time.
But you get what you pay for and it is a free game, so............

I too am very frustrated! Love the update! The artwork is beautiful, but only 2 levels before we get stuck and we had to wait 8 months again - for only these 2 levels. It took me 4 days to complete them because I have a job, but some folks were able to do the 2 levels within a day and now we all have to wait again!!!!!! Really?

There is no incentive to buy anything for this game, because you can't spend diamonds and coins much so we're all just accumulating them. hence the millionaire's club. Someone recently posted that she has 5, 000,000 gold coins!
