After working my fins off all week....

[Post New]by eleanor1183 on Mar 28, 09 7:20 AM
I am so tired and disappointed.

I've been working my tail off all week to get the music event for today put together.

Yesterday we had to cancel it because the whole state of Kansas is having a blizzard/ice storm. The students are from all across the state, so there was no question of trying to have it, and our venue is in the middle of the state, which has been hit the hardest.

It was especially frustrating because I had just finished printing all the programs, which will now have to be scrapped, and new ones done.

I am also going to have to find a new piano judge, as the one we were going to have is unavailable for a later date. Don't know yet about our other judges.

I swear, I am never going to do this again. Unfortunately, I have to do it all over again in three weeks so we can get this one over with.

Hubby was stuck out west and is just now trying to make his way home, so I get to worry about him through the day.

I am so tired...

I hear Totem Tribe calling.

((Eleanor)) That's awful! I think a day of playing in the pond is definitely warranted!

Awww {{{Big Hugsss}}} Eleanor, I agree with prpldva, that is awful! I am so sorry to hear that the music event had to be cancelled. Not only did you put in all that time and effort but the students don't get to participate and the others that I'm sure would of enjoyed watching it. And that's also sad about the programs you had finished only for them now to be scrapped and new ones done.

My goes out to ya~hopefully next time around it will be lots better!

Take care in that storm and know we're here for you, okay? Here's hoping that your week end will improve the second your hubby gets home!

{{{ Eleanor }}} So sorry that all of your hard work has to be scrapped and that the even was canceled. I've watched some of the news coverage on the storm. Between the unexpected blizzard / ice storm and the flooding, the midwest is really getting hammered. Take care!!

Hope your DH made it home and you get some extra help pulling the postponed event together. The weather messed you up this time but in a couple of weeks it should be very nice and you might get a much larger crowd than if you had it during a storm.

Oh Eleanor, that is too bad - so sorry it all had to be scrapped because of the weather and I do hope your DH makes it home safely.

Ice storms are nothing to mess with as I know up here

Totem tribe might be just what you need -

along with some pond time every so often!

I hope your day picks up!

Bummer, eleanor.

I think Totoem Tribe is the perfect solution to help ease your distress over this cancellation and the impending bad weather.

And if that won't work...

lots and lots of *fin hugs*

Oh Eleanor, what a shame, after all your hard work.

I hope you are pampering yourself and playing games, you've certainly earned the right and I hope it is a wonderful success when you do hold the concert.

Try and relax and chill out with hubby when he gets home

edited to say: the 'chill out' wasn't intentional pun
