I just saw on Gamezebo in the forum that this game Affair Bureau is suppose to be tomorrow';s game here at BF! I dont know this for sure just repeating what I read you can check it out in there forum its right on top so you wont have to look to far. It sounds like a HO detective game! Thought I would let you all know.

I played this game for about 10 minutes. I'll play some more tomorrow. So far:
 No timer
 Unlimited (recharging) hints
Some of the items are TINY and/or don't look anything like what they are supposed to be
To get past the dialog parts you have to actually click on the OK - it's not good enough to just click wherever your mouse happens to be

is Alex like the hotest guy you've ever seen?
LOL.... when I was playing the game the first thing I thought was that Alex was a bit on the dorky looking side.
Alrighty, now we are talking about a game with a bit of challenge.
 No timer.
 Rechargeable hints.
 Great graphics.
HO's were well placed in the scenes (not like a junk pile of random stuff just blew up).
Challenging mini games (puzzles) which have varied so far. Not the same two over & over again.
Story seems interesting, but it's hard to tell where it will go & for how long in just 1 hour. Which means it's either a long game (since I barely scratched the surfface of it) or a short game with a lame story.
The game is not the same-o-same-o HO game altho it did remind me a little of The Women's Murder Club games.
I had a couple items on the word list that did not match the HO's. ie: shovel = hand mirror & fly = moth.
The last item in my inventory when my demo quit was a CROWBAR!
Some HO's were small, but I didn't have any real problem finding them. They weren't as small as in the Hidden Mysteries: Civil War game. I have a 22" flat screen monitor & computer glasses, so that helped a lot.
My biggest is for the mini games! So far I did - putting the picture pieces back together (one of the most challenging I have found in this type of game because they are usually too easy for me) - testing dirt in the lab - putting the reels back in the proper order. The mini games were not too hard to figure out once I took a minute to think about what they wanted. I liked the fact that there was no real "hand-holding" instructions so I could use my brain to figure it out by myself. I didn't skip anything and only used about 3 hints for the items that were mislabled.
My biggest was the mislabled items. If there are only a few, I can live with that since the rest of the game was pretty good.
I'm going to buy it since I wanted to keep going after the demo quit. I have game credits piling up, so why not?

Hmmm... I need a Detective to figure out how I feel about this game...
First and always top of the list Untimed. Clear, clean graphics, if a little dark. Some things are named incorrectly due, I suspect, to translation issue. I mean there must be translation involved otherwise the name would not be "Affair Bureau", would it? So a lantern is a flashlight, a pair of head phones simply called phones, what I swear was a deflated balloon a flask...? So basically I've been clicking on anything remotely associated with any item I'm having trouble finding, which in a weird way is adding to the game.
I like the story and am interested to see where it goes. I enjoy the little blurbs about who each character is and how they fit in the story. Who is Ms. Wang (really? ) and will our Hero find his Father and/or a Dentist? The cut scenes are short and interestingly presented.
Of the mini-games I played so far they have either been different than the usual or, in the case of a torn photo jigsaw, more challenging than I first suspected it would be. I rather liked one where you had to unpack a crate. It wasn't hard, but interesting, figuring out which bit needed to come off first. Matching dirt samples was like a spot the difference in reverse. However instructions are very minimal so you are on your own figuring what needs to be done. I like that, but many don't. There is a "Solve" button if you get stuck and a refillable Hint system on the Hidden Object scenes.
I *am* concerned, and this is why I can not give full Poodlebear Approval, because it does seem glitchy. My cursor has frozen briefly a few times, when I was doing the crate game it suddenly exited the game. I thought it was because my hour was up but I still had 20 minutes. I was able to get back in the game just fine and continue where I left off. I had to re-do the crate and the 2nd time there was no problem. So the potential glitchiness and mis-labeled items means no approval. Buy at your own risk, I am going to and still feel I can give it a:

10 minutes play, uninstalled, and gave it a .
Someone made a bet with me: "I bet you won't find the object; I'll give you all the tiny objects, hidden among a lot of trash, thus you will have to wear 3 pairs of glasses, in order to advance"... And another bet: "you will need the hint button all the time - it's a proof I am smart!"...
English is not my first language, so if someone wants me to find "wine" - I don't know if to search for a bottle or a glass. Yes. sir, you are very smart - but I have the money! You didn't think that I will refuse to be tortured - and you lost!
Keep your game and play it yourself. Forget about profit, you don't deserve it.

I played some more of the game, but need to quit and go to bed. Yes, I am a night owl.
Really liking this game...still. I'm not having any problems with small HO's (or any glitches). Every mini game has been a new adventure so far. Wait, I did have to go to the lab again, but that's Ok.
The HO list must change because I am not being asked to find some of the stuff that was on other people's lists. So far, I have only incountered 2-3 mislabled items. Maybe I got the "good" list this go round. I just hope this game isn't too short.
Cracked me up when I saw "The Big Fish" as one of the clues on the notepad list used by the bad guys. The bouncing fireman arcade game was cute, but a tad long for me.
So far it's still a from me.
