I wanted to pop in here and address the various issues that players are experiencing. I'm sorry to hear that players are having trouble playing this particular game.

In regards to the crashing issues that players are seeing, it may be helpful to look at the following help article for hints:

Since it appears that some of the issues weren't resolved in the most recent update, please contact our Technical Support Team with a Dr. Felix Report. They can help offer any troubleshooting steps they have as well as report it to the appropriate team.

I bought this game several weeks ago and have not been able to get it open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. Still not working. I am attaching a DrFelix report. If this can't be corrected very soon, I will expect a refund.

Still cant play this game. never has this happened and i have been a member since 2/07. maybe big fish should allow us another coupon for the SE for our troubles!!!-assuming that game doesnt need a new update already!!

Same issue for me too. I've tried starting this game over twice and same thing happens. This prevents me from ever retrieving the last skull to open the gate. Too frustrating. Think I'll delete the game and just forget about it at this point. Very disappointing.

I have this problem too. Am using Yosemite 10.10.2 though and same issue. I'm now stuck in the game as I can't move forward without the 1st skull. Managed to get the other 3 and according to SG, I'm missing the first one. Scroll is sitting in my inventory but I can't interact with it anymore no matter how many spots I try and select. Have exited game, gone back in and still nope, can't interact with the scroll to get the token out. Was really enjoying the game up to now.



Exactly what just happened to me,too! Mac OS 10.10.4

Possible Spoiler!

I play on a PC (Dell Studio XPS 8100 desktop) with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I discovered a different hiccup. When I gained access to Perche Castle by having Francis Drake use the heavy wagon to pull the gates open and, subsequently, being rendered unconscious by a falling stone, I played all the scenes indicated on the map where there were things to do. I played HOS's, mini-games and anything else available. Eventually, there were no places to go within the castle. The map showed only the area just outside the castle doors, but since "Dear, old Frannie" was lying unconscious, I could not get out to find what I had left in that location. I consulted the SG and found that in taking a different "path" to get to my current spot, I had missed collecting the saw handle. Without the saw handle, I could not get back to collect the saw handle. lol

Over the years, I have run across this situation a couple of other times, but hoped that devs were now aware of this sort of problem and would have made sure it did not crop up in newer games. Oh, well, "Hope springs eternal!"

Having had two other CE's in recent weeks that proved problematic, I have requested a replacement for this game because I simply do not feel like spending the hours upon hours in troubleshooting.

Update:

Thanks to Customer Support for understanding my feelings and sending me a coupon to replace this game!

We purchased "Sprit of revenge" and we cannot install it, we have installed it 3 times and reinstalled it 3 times. This game does not work and we would like a free game, we do not want to deal with customer support, it is too much work. please give us a free game credit.

Playing on MacBook Pro 10.10.4
Finally got game to work and although it has continuous popping sounds, it seemed to be okay. Reached the wagon near the gate and cannot continue. For whatever reason, when I placed the pirate token, it will not play the video or open. Totally and completely stuck.
Guess I'll have to restart. Again.

I'm having the same problem as thistle809. Have restarted twice, second time didn't get any further than the first HOG. I was really looking forward to this game since I love Tudor and Elizabethan times.

If you want a coupon to replace the game, you will need to complete the short, very simple form that you see when you click on "Help" at the top of the page then scroll down to the bottom of the column on the left side of that page and click "Contact Us". Just as any other company, has a path for customers to use to alert them to problems and complaints. I received a very prompt response and absolutely no hassle. If it's too much work to fill in a few pieces of information on a form, perhaps you don't value your cash as much as some of us.

I too am very annoyed, I got as far as the HOP with the dolls but because of a fault with the game I am now stuck, went back to beginning even starting as another player but it keeps freezing doing the same as other fishes and is unplayable.
I'd like it fixed or my money back.
I'm getting fed up spending money on these games as they are all alike. I cancelled my membership because of the faults and the lack of interesting good working games. I decided to but full price as I bought so few these days and they still don't work. Do you need to be a member to get a good working game?

Customer Support worked with me along time on this game...trying to get it to work. I can't even get it to download at all!

Although, I appreciate a coupon to buy another game...I have most of them. And when I purchase a game...I would like to be able to play it. Not get a coupon for the game.

Customer Service has been great to me...and I really appreciate that! But, I'd really like to be able to play this game. I like to have the whole series.

Fingers crossed will get all the bugs out.

I'm stuck inside the cemetery!! I can't go to the chapel's door to play the mini-game with the angel figurine and the cherubin.
When I click the chapel's door nothing happens!

Annoying, What's wrong?

Having the same issue as everyone else. I get booted right back to Game Manager, it will not even launch.

I downloaded the demo twice and both times was unable to play the game, at all. Every time I click the play button in my Game Manager, the Game Manager would disappear, then after about 3 seconds, reappear. No game, no play. I have Win7 on an Hp Pavilion laptop. Never have I had this happen. Sucks cuz I was looking forward to playing this one...oh well

The update as of 2nd july, didn't solve the mingame problem with the dress for me. It still happens. I searched for updates, and it didn't find any, so this update should be installed.

*UPDATE*

it worked anyhow. At the point where nothing happened i quit the game, and when restarting the game, the mingame worked. Very strange. It seems that this game wasn't properly error-checked before release. But it's still one of the best HOGS in a long time.

Can't start the game. It even doesn't show up in the task list, means nothing get started.

Forget it. After I had trouble to reinstall the game I kicked off the game manager and switched from W7 to W8 version. Now at least the game starts.

When do you will provide the full W10 version?

Reloaded game - still will not launch. Followed directions to look for a fix under the "options" menu on the right side of the manager screen - statement says "no game updates available". Frankly, I am ready for a refund on this game.
