A Wacky Wednesday

[Post New]by lilorange on Aug 13, 08 5:47 AM
Morning to all the fish in the pond. Just realized that no one started a Wednesday thread yet--probably because Lisa is having so much fun in Boston!!! Can't wait to hear how the concert was last night!

Typical Wednesday at work for me. Nice day again here--a little cloudy, but comfortable and mild. Leaving work a little early this afternoon as I have a hair appointment. Am off Thursday and Friday, as I have to take hubby in for a procedure on Thursday morning around 6. So, I should be able to fit some games in!!!

Hope everyone has a fun and "wacky" Wednesday!!!

Howdy, fellow fishies. And a very good Wednesday to 'all.

Wanted to thank everyone for their concern about my breathing. Very very thoughtful and am humbled by your concern. As time goes by, you'll become more comfortable with my daily suffocation and the times I feel really poopy. After 15 years of this freakin' lung issue... it gets very tiring. I do aplogize if it becomes redundant.

Let's see... what's on my agenda for this glorious day...

We're taking the bro-in-law out for a birthday breakfast. Not really looking forward to spending time with a "the glass is half empty" kind of person. Actually, him and his wifey are more the glass is empty. I don't live that way and I have very little tolerance for folks that do.

Reorganized the studio workshop yesterday and am anxious to get my hands in clay this morning and afternoon. I even moved the slab roller and potters wheel all by myself. *flexes muscled fin for fishies to see* Not bad for an OB.

Hubby is building a retaining wall to keep our driveway/parking area from sliding further down the mountainside. And me from panicking when the snow and ice arrive this winter season. Dang near rolled the Tribute down the mountain last year after hitting a patch of ice under snow. So, he's building the area level to divert that from happening.

Um, sure there's more I'm up to but need to swim off and get cleaned up for the day.

*fin hugs all around*

Morning Pondies
Today is shopping day!
Must make a trip to Sam's Club for the church, Pastor is hosting a
breakfast tomorrow for fellow pastors, so must make sure all is in order.
Finished all the extra laundry from the family being here, so can
relax a little. I'm way behind in game playing, so hope to catch up
on that and still trying to catch up on all the posts, you fishies
sure were a chatty bunch!!

Good Morning to all in the Pond. Need to mow a little today and get some laundry done. And, of course, watch some Olympics. I plan to play the new Wild West Quest demo today ... hope I enjoy it more than others, I've been looking forward to a new game. Hope ya'll have a great day.

Morning lady fishies,
Beautiful day here in southern ky. Low temp and low humidy which is rare for this time of year for us. Not much happening yet. Waiting for the guys to finishing putting the siding on the house. Passed the electric inspection yesterday, so on to drywall. Guess I need to be looking at paint.
Been looking for a new SUV. I need something that I can put my "stuff" in when I go antiquing. Glad I don't have to drive it everyday now. Hopfully will find something today.
Smallhaven..what type of things do you create in clay?
I want a small building that I can make wood craft in like a garden bench.I have also been collecting jewelry making equipment. I would love to create pieces out of beaten metal and natural stones that are found here in ky.
I'm also thinking about taking up quilting. A friend of mine teaches classes and has been after me to join since I retired.
I may have to go back to work to rest. lol

Good morning all.

Another beautiful summer day here in the great Northwest (ghostie will be here shortly to confirm that, I'm sure!).

Lilorange, I hope your husband's procedure goes well. Seems like we've been talking about procedures a lot lately. I guess that's what happens when you join the OB club.

And what about poor Lisa - pneumonia! How did that happen in the middle of summer? We have to send tons of fishie love and caring her way.

Finally going to get caught up on tons of laundry and stuff like that. I hope to be in and out all day.

Enjoy whatever weather you're having today. Hope it's all good!

Good morning all. Have a busy day planned-some fundraising stuff for our spouse's club here on base, so I'll be in and out of the boards. I would like to give a shout out to our women's gymnastics team who won silver last night in the team finals. Way to go girls! And congrats to a phenomenal Chinese team for their gold medal win.

Lisa, I hope you get to feeling better soon. Pneumonia does seem an odd summer time illness, but my daughter had it twice last year (and we live in Hawaii where it is summer all year). Lilorange, hope your hubby's procedure goes well.

Have a good day all.
