tangled mess

[Post New]by nantyglyn on Aug 13, 08 2:42 PM
I just had to share this one with you all. Who says playing games is not good for the old brain? Especially the mini puzzles? Last night as I was watching the Olympics I had before me a tangled mess of chains and beads. The place where I volunteer had these pretty necklaces that they sell - long multiple strand chains with amber, green, and turquoise colored beads. Five of them got into a huge tangle, and I brought them home to work on untangling them. It reminded me of a mini game - the one where you have the dogs all tangled and you have to untangle the leashes. Well, after many hours I didn't quite get it finished. Hopefully tonight I will win the gold medal in chain untangling. To others it was daunting, but to me it's just one big puzzle!

that's funny nanty. Hopefully all those mini-games you've done will help you untangle this mess. Good luck.

nantyglyn, one of the side benefits of solving puzzles is that you learn to be patient and to try things that aren't obvious to others. WTG ... I know you'll get the gold tonight.

Nope - didn't get it untangled last night Made a lot of progress, though. It's getting close. I guess today I'm going for the silver.

*sigh* It's still not untangled! I worked at it during gymnastics and swimming last night, including MP's sixth gold - but I think I may be making it worse. I'm usually good at these things.

Going for the bronze now.

Hey nanty--just getting it untangled at all makes you a gold medal winner in my book! Besides, I don't think that event has a time limit!!!

Nanty take two darning needles and work with them on especially the chains ,this is a trick jewellers use.

Thanks for the warning ghost, we can benefit by your experience!!! Sounds pretty good though!!! And you are right cesse--chocolate does go with everything. Well, except for when the chocolate coating on the ice cream bar falls on your shirt--but then I give it to hubby to get the stain out!!!

Ghost - thanks for the tip to use the needles. It really helped.

nanty if any of the necklaces are chains, start rubbing them with your thumb and fingers they loosen up easily that way.....used to work for a jeweler.
