What i dont understand is how a pair of J's and 4's beat a pair of A's high and 8's
I am dumb founded by the rule of poker and how smaller hands can bet higher hands.. For example .. the only hands that could beat a flush would be a straight flush or royal flush.. though in this game .. those rules of logic dont apply.. And that is not to mention the splits within the game.. you get a flush and someone else gets one pair. it sometimes splits the pot with them.. and thats not to mention that if you both get two pairs of the same cards... why doesnt the hight suit win instead of splitting the pot? Usually Ace of hearts would beat Ace speades dimonds or vlibs.. unless you make spades the higher suit....

Anyway thats enough of my rant and rave.. it still is a good game graphics wise Though i do have to admit it is border line when it comes to asking yourself is the game worth it or not....

Cheers and have a great day

I like this game, it's a lot harder than the first, there's lots more property to by; but you do have a ton more challenges and areas to accomplish there's a notorious players list you can climb by betting others. There are a lot more features, not much trash talk the people seem to be nicer. It's cool.

Glad to see that I am not the only one to have some problems with this game or to have noticed some glitches. I have noticed another GLARING glitch with this game in addition to the ones already mentioned: whenever you are finally dealt a decent 2 cards for your down or hole cards the other computer players all fold immediately. Keep in mind that the computer players are NOT supposed to know what your 2 down cards are unless you have gone all-in, short of matching the bet. EVERYTIME I HAVE BEEN DEALT A PAIR OF ACES IN THIS GAME FOR MY 2 DOWN CARDS EVERY COMP PLAYER HAS IMMEDIATELY FOLDED!! I find this to be ridiculous. The comp players definitely know what your down cards are, thus also making it virtually impossible to bluff your way into a decent payday. I am currrently in Fort Stocton and can't seem to be able to win there!! One other thing I would like to mention about the actual card playing: I was keeping track of the cards I was dealt for my 2 down cards and it comes out to roughly 78% of the time I have a high card (J-Q-K- or A) coupled with someof the lowest cards (2-3-or4). I would rate this game an overall 1 on a 1 - 5 scale, 5 being highest. Playing the game becomes very monotonous and predictable after a while. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!

I have downloaded, played, gotten annoyed and deleted this game so many times I've lost count. I keep trying it again hoping that maybe it'll get better, but it doesn't.

Granted, I am possibly the worst poker player in the world, but still... To reiterate what someone else said in an earlier post, the game seems counter-intuitive. When I fold, it turns out I would have won with a random 3 of a kind or something. I play a pair, or two high card, and nothing happens.

Plus, I am beginning to suspect the game is rigged. I was playing just now, and the character who eventually won the hand had 5 and 7, off-suit, as his hole cards. He raised before the flop, raised after the flop, etc, and wouldn't you know? He ended up winning the hand with a full house. Honestly, why would you raise that hand before the flop (or even play that hand) unless the computer had already decided that player was going to win.

I dunno, maybe I'm just annoyed at my lack of skills, but I'm really starting to believe that the "winning" player is decided before the cards are dealt.

Wait till you've played it awhile and see just how phoney the game is, then decide how "fun" the game is. If you still think it is a good, fun game then I'd hate to see your idea of a truly bad game.

Just beat the Governor! have been playing the game for a little over a month, and still had fun...why so bitter? I rated the game because I had fun playing.

I just wonder what "your idea of a truly good game is."

You and I are obviously worlds apart in this area. No sense in getting into it with someone who considers this a fun game.

I am so disappointed with this game. It has good features like the western theme, hats, houses to purchase. I like some of the background noises when you are at the saloons. The bullets and empty bottles on the floor are also cute.

On the other hand - some of the characters voices are REALLY annoying. Was anyone else freaked out by the fact the players only have 4 fingers on each hand? rediculous. Finally - the game play itself is extremely frustrating. As others have said - the characters bid on rediculous hands and win. Several times I've had great cards like a pair of aces or a K/Q of the same suit and a computer player will bid me up to rediculous amounts with a 7/9 of an off suit and get a straight while I get nothing.

If the developers can't fix the cards so they are truly random maybe they could add a feature where you can call the characters out for cheating and have a duel in the street.

I would like to apologize for my "ridiculous" spelling. I better start playing some word games to keep the noggin a little sharper.

I've played this game off and on for quite a while. I'm not a fanatic & have just had fun with it, but had something unusual happen today. I am a female and my character was wearing a blue hat. I had played for a while, quit to do something & came back to it a while later. My character is now a male with a beat up straw hat, has a name other than mine & my money is about $1000 less! Strange!

I then quit the game and loaded it back up. I was still Sammy Richley. I decided to just leave the table. I had not only lost money, but I lost 5 houses!!!!!! What's going on?!

Oh my gosh, I had so much fun playing this game! I'm a much better poker player now than when I started the game. I went all the way to the end and became the Governor. Once I started, I played every day until I made it to the end. I haven't tried the first Governor of Poker, but I just might since I enjoyed this one so much.

I got this one as a DD but I enjoyed it so much I'd pay full price for it.

I THOUGHT THE FIRST ONE WAS BAD, THEY CHEAT SO BAD IN THIS ONE IT ALMOST MAKES THE FIRST ONE OK... DOESN'T ANY OF THE GEEKS THAT MADE THESE GAMES PLAY POKER??? I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY THINK A GAME THAT IS SO-O-O UNFAIR WOULD BE FUN??? I'LL STICK TO THE GAMES YOU AT LEAST HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN ONCE IN BLUE MOON.

Hey Hotrod: want to hear something even worse about this game, aside from all the cheating? This involves one of the worst glitches I have ever seen in a game with other AI players involved. Wait until you try to win one of the tournaments with 80 players in one of the green towns. I finally gave up and deleted the game in it's entirety from my harddrive. Even searched for any hidden files from it to make sure it was gone completely. I tried 11 or 12 times to win an 80 player tournament in Galveston I believe it was. IN EVERY CASE, IT WOULD GET DOWN TO ABOUT 30 FINAL PLAYERS, AND A PERSON WOULD WIN A HAND AT THE TABLE AND GET UP AND LEAVE THE TABLE WITHOUT TAKING THEIR WINNINGS!! IT WAS ALWAYS THE SAME SEAT AT THE TABLE THAT WOULD HAVE THE PLAYER LEAVE AND NOT TAKE THEIR WINNINGS. THAT SEAT WAS THE SEAT IMMEDIATELY TO THE LEFT (AS YOU LOOK AT THE GAME) OF THE DEALER.

#1) Do you have any idea how long an 80 player tournament can take to finish?
#2) Do you know what it is like to be leading in these tournaments and have a person leave the table 11-12 times in a row?

Youda (makers of the game) evidentally doesn't get it.
