I agree that NY 69 is a great source for hats and stones.

However, I do have a question on that one:
Two of the dishes (what is the official name for these) drop onto deep desert tiles.
Now I know how to move them aside, but the other day during an avalanche of objects dropping down they disappeared without me doing anything.

I'm not sure what exactly happened there, and I have been unable to reproduce this.
Am I missing something? Is there another way to get rid of these dishes (apart from moving them aside or using an oasis boost to get rid of the deep desert tile)?

When you say disappeared...was it a 'Gummy Drop!' where everything is happening all at once and the board clears with a boom? The souvenirs pop off the board when that happens

I've had it happen again and this time observed it better.
It was indeed a Gummy Drop!
I didn't know the souvenirs would pop off the board then.
Apparently this does not happen if you clear the board by combining two lightning bolts.

Anyway, good to know. Moving the souvenirs away will cost two or three moves, which is sometimes just enough for running out of moves (I haven't found a good way to consistently clean this board; then again I've had a run on this one where I got around 250k bricks and 250k hats).

Rome 72 easy for bricks and blue hats--99% success.

Anybody know an easy level in San Fran to get bricks and an easy level in New York to get pink gems?

NY 145 will give you lots of pinkies, but it is very near the end so it is only useful to get gems to construct the statue of liberty or to get resources for selling or manufacturing green gems

Thx, Frans58. That is exactly what I need pinks for.

San Francisco 55 is a good level for bricks. (Hats too.)

SAN FRANCISCO

I see that several people recommend San Francisco 55 for bricks and hats and I have to disagree: it only gives some 3k of each and it's not 100% sure anyway. There's a much earlier level, 32-1 (also mentioned by someone else above), which gives at least 15k, but most often 25 and even 30k of each! The game is challenging enough to make it interesting but if you play correctly it has a very high probability of success. It has some bombs but these are not a problem at all. The first priority should be to unchain the gummies to the middle right and left so that you can better control the sand at the bottom. Until I hit 93 (another great level, thanks to those who suggested it ), I used 32-1 most of the time to get these two resources.

Thanks Eli. I tried the 32-1 level and got over 22k bricks and hats on the first try. thanks especially for your solving tips. They were "right on".

Some of the levels already mentioned are on my list - the one I saw a brief mention of, but not much is Tokyo 100. This one can be beat most of the time and yields A LOT of all three gems. I use this on a regular basis to kill time and then drill for green gems, so I can use gold coins for boosts as much as possible - not have to buy every card made available to clear sections.

San Francisco 91 is another I use a lot to collect all three.

I only built factories in Sydney, so I tend to cash in the daily resources there, since I have factories building stones there. I haven't invested the gold coins to build them in any other city and haven't needed to. I just play key levels in each city when I need more resources to send by boat to the city I am playing in. This works well, and allows me to play a bit when I am encountering a level that seems to be impossible.

I have chosen to invest $0 to play this game, so it's about getting the resources I need to play and get boosts, IN THE GAME - not pay to have them.

Actually it's the other way around: NY5 has both bricks and hats while NY12 has only bricks. And while I agree that NY12 is a good source of bricks (until you reach NY18, that is), I think NY5 is too tricky- it needs a huge score at Master level, to be attained with too few moves. I'd give it a chance of 50-50.

NEW YORK levels 1-60
NY 18 is the undisputed leader for bricks. The first time I played, the avalanche continued for several minutes and I was worried that it was one of those glitchy cases where the gummies continue dropping through the portals because there is nothing to eventually stop them. Not so! It finally stopped and registered 432K bricks! I now know that this was clearly exceptional but since then I've been steadily getting a minimum of 50K each time and frequently much more.
While this not a difficult level, things can always go wrong. To minimize the chances of losing, I think that the best strategy is to focus solely on lightning bolts. Once the first one is formed, use it immediately and in all likelihood more bolts will be created automatically (if not make a second one yourself- after that there will be plenty of them). Use each bolt individually (not together) with any gummy, preferrably of the same color as those carrying extra time. Forget about souvenirs, they will be cleared automatically. Also, forget about trying to make other types of boost as this will eat up a lot of time with uncertain results. Focusing on bolts will see you through 95% of the time.
NY55-3 is the best I have found for bricks and hats. It is a very interesting level that gives at least 20K of each. But its being interesting also makes it a little tricky, so its winning chances are not great (70%?).They can be increased with the following priorities:
1. First look at the board and determine if you can start clearing the low levels (which are full of stickers and later, sand) in one or two moves, by making matches on the sides. If it looks bad then exit the game -X- and return.
2.Start clearing the low levels with matches etc.
3. At the same time, focus on filling the 5 yellow color blockers at the bottom by making relevant matches and bolts to be used exclusively on yellow gummies. Note that you can continue filling the blockers even when they are covered by sand- which will happen soon.
4. Again, do not worry about the souvenirs, just unchain the 3 gummies below them and they will drop.
I'd really like to have an easier level than this for hats on levels 60 or below, but haven't found any that pays well. If anyone has found one please post here.

ETA: Reached 130 and still can't find a good one for hats or purples! And now 55-3 works even less! Level 69 advertised above only worked on the first 2 levels- Master is too difficult!

Barcelona 106-2 for bricks and hats.

This one rocks! I really hate the timed games by I'm glad I persevered beyond intern on this one. I've replayed the master level dozens of times and have never come close to losing.

Berlin 29 is an easy way to get bricks. There is plenty of time at the master replay level. You can. get an average of 15k per replay--faster than shipping resources.

The best that I have come across so far is Sydney 109! You get bricks, hats and pink gems in the 20,000 range each time!
