Rose is the nurse that Charles hired to care for Emma... at least that is what I get out of it. What a mystery! I finished Ravenhearst, but for the life of me can not get into Madame Fate.

Thank you for your answer Lorifish. I played the game but couldn't remember who Rose was.

I think this is a very good point. Why else would she capitalize the word unless it had a different meaning than just writing Charles's name as she had done in all her other enteries.

Wow, this is a truly monumental task and I very much appreciate you taking the time to do it. I am halfway thru getting screens myself but planned on just printing them out cuz I'm a slefish ol' fish, and lazy too! I kinda wish you had posted in the Picman thread so as to have it eb all in one place, but I guess I can handle monitoring 2.
sillyfeet and karenplop - if you want to know what's going on why not go read the 19 pages of the PICKING PICMAN'S BRAIN topic where several of us have been very happily working the mystery of Return to Ravenhearst along with encouragement, and clues, from Picman who has already played it. If, as you stated, "like the surprise of not knowing." you best stay away from these threads. It has gone beyond speculating and we have several certainties, or nearly anyway. But no sluething was necessary to know it was going to be a return to Ravenhearst as it pretty much says as much at the end of Madame Fate. At this point we are just enjoying a review of the story so far and seeing if there are clues as to where the rest of the story will go. It's fun, for those involved. A pre-game show, as it were, before the new game is released.

Entry #9 – June 1st, 1895
Unwell
I am feeling unwell and retired
shortly after dinner this evening.
I’m certain that my malaise is the
product of sad goodbyes and the
stress of leaving England so
abruptly.
I think she was poisoned from this point. It's the night before she is to sail. She gets sick just after dinner and talks of sad goodbyes. Either the headmistress is in on it OR I think it would be very likely Charles would have been at her last dinner before leaving, though granted, she doesn't say as much. The very next day Charles invites her to come to the manor to recover. Very suspicious.

Been doing some research on the term Excellency as an address for someone and it's actually used for state officials, not royalty, but elected or appointed people like presidents or prime ministers. I am jmuch more inclined to think it is like eleanor said:
It's also possible that she says HE out of fear - I mean, after all, the guy did hack her to death in the end...
Since that is at the very end and she, in her ghostly form, is imploring you to hurry and release her. BUT while I don't think it's it's being used for His Excellency (and if it was why wuld she address him thus?) it *could* be used to refer to someone other than Charles...? I keep going back to the surveilance room. Charles could not have built that in 1895. Who *else* has been occupying that house and for how long?

I'm up to the June 2nd diary entry. I purposely haven't looked at the diary entries, but enjoy reading everyone's thoughts. About how far through the game am I at this point? I'm thinking around 1/4-1/3?

Entry #20 – Today
My Only Hope
I have watched you move about
this dark place for some time now,
inspecting various items around the
house. You carry what remains of
my diary! We were both lost
long ago and you must listen, for I
have little time!
Oooh! Hadn't noticed that before! Who is we? I *assume* she means Rose but...? Interesting.
AnnBy - reeeeally hard to say how much longer you've got to go in the game because each "chappter" if you will that leads to the next entry takes longer because more rooms are added to search. More than a 1/4 I'd say, but really hard to judge.

The WE can't be Rose ... she didn't arrive until journal entry 21 or 22

What I think that particular quote is referring to is Emma herself and the diary itself. If you look at how it's worded.

It probably refers to Emma and the diary
