Hearing that players would quit

I would really hate to see anyone quit if the CC's were rerun.

At max level, if CC's are rerun, there isn't much game for me to play. All I have at this point in time are the CC's and the DQ's. I could stop playing today and just pick up the game if and when new character quests are released. It would still probably take years for me to use the inventory I already have, and I have a pittance compared to some people. I don't see any point in stockpiling even more stuff that I'll never use.

The game has changed direction since I began. If it goes someplace that I don't want to go, then it's time to get off. I play games to have fun. When MC ceases to be fun, it's time to find something else that is fun.

It is all a matter of perspective, IMHO. A lot of people purchase games, knowing that if they don't make an achievement the first time, they can play over and over until they do.

However, MC is different, an evolving game. It is like life, it depends on where you start. For instance, I'll never get the Went to Woodstock Avatar, because of when I was born, but then I also didn't experience any of the negative aspects of the 60s, like no PCs or cell phones (kidding).

I started playing MC in the middle of the Christmas Event 2016. I did not have the earlier problems (like Bow Figurine) to contend with, and I did not earn any challenge Avatars. Do I deserve them? No. Would I want to acquire them without going through the actual Challenge? No. As much as I wish I had that Cowgirl Avatar from a previous CC, if I hadn't earned her, what's the point?

There will be cool new Avatars in the future, and I'm content to earn them. Earlier players earned their badges of honor, and we should respect the trailblazers (again IMHO), and concentrate on our own journeys through the Castle.

Peace and Harmony

Oh, and Silver_Hawk, I don't think it is wrong of you to want to help out others, who through no fault of their own, missed finishing an achievement. It just shows an innate empathy for others' misfortune.

Hello.
I have read this whole discussion and can see both sides of the argument.
I have been playing for less that a year. I see the unattainable avatars and wish for a way to get them.
But, after three seasonal events, I can understand that it is not fair for anyone to just be able to buy them. No matter what the cost.
My suggestion is in line with the shop. But instead of buying the avatar, you buy a number of quests. The avatar sets come in threes. You have to complete 10 X 10 part Daily quests to get the first avatar, 20 X 10 part DQs for the second and 30 X 10 part DQs for the third.
Then at least you would know that whoever has that avatar has earned it.
Thanks,
Harry
