Amman 119 is acceptable. Not quite as good as 93.

What about Japan or San Francisco? Been doing most of my green gem drilling there. Always run out of bricks! Made the mistake of not building a brick factory in Japan.

Casablanca 115 should be on there, you get all 3

Why does Casablanca 115 have to be on the list? Its a timed level, its hard, its not easy to get that out EVERY time, or even nearly every time. Just because it gets all 3 resources doesn't mean it has to be on the list at all. I just tested it, you could not possibly get that out every time, you would keep losing lives. You have to get exactly the right matches within a time frame and you HAVE to make at lesast two lightning bolts in that time to blast BOTH colours either side of the board to get rid of the tiles. The levels posted here on this thread are supposed to be ones that give a good guide for players to find levels that are suitable to replay over and over again and have a generally excellent chance of being able to get them out almost every time, if not every time and although there are some timed levels amongst these which are good, this one is not good.

I appreciate players trying to help others in the game. Thanks Gumsal.
But, I did find the same thing as Jules when I tried the Casablanca level. However, this is far from the only level on the list that is not as advertised. The list is very, very helpful, but needs to be reviewed for accuracy. Over time it has had errors creep in. When I add something to the list I use the following criteria: 1. It must be winnable at least 90% of the time 2. It must yield at least 20,000 total resources if playing for one resource or 30,000 if two or more.
3. The less moves to win the better.
To me San Francisco 28 and Istanbul 105-1 and Vancouver 62 are perfect examples of the type of level that should be on the list.

I agree with you Snowman about some of the levels not being quite what they should be. It can sometimes just be the layout you get when you load the game, but it really does have to be a majority thing that its good most of the time. Well, a bit more than most of the time. Otherwise, you just end up losing lives all the time. Istanbul 105-1 us the best by far, but for those not up to Istanbul, there are plenty of others in earlier cities. At least everyone can read the list and give them a shot. This thread is FANTASTIC and thanks HEAPS to Pdominian for constantly reviewing it and updating it for everyone to reap the benefits of the thread.

My own criteria for what to submit for this thread is lower than snowman's. I consider a level good if it has a win rate of about 75% and usually earns more than 10k of each resource it has, without the need to hunt for a good starting board. I will sometimes suggest levels that don't make even this benchmark, but they either need to be fun, have a good chance of generating lots of resources with a good starting board, or else it was the best level I'd unlocked in the city so far and I needed to grind for a monument.

It is very interesting reading everyone's criteria for replayable levels. Maybe I am being a bit excessive but I have a spreadsheet with all cities and replayable levels. I then try each level five times and note success rate, amount of each resource and number of moves. Then at a glance I can choose the best! I try and highlight two in each city for variety. Love this game.

Wow, Lizzie. Sometimes OCD does come in handy! (Just kidding, your list sounds like a great help.) I wonder how it matches up with the official PDOM list.

It occurs to me that win rate can be quite subjective even though we can keep careful statistics on our wins of a given level. Some people are better at spotting combos, or seeing a move or two in advance that could make a lightning. My own hands shake sometimes so that the wrong pair of gummies are swapped. So my 75% might be a 90% for someone who doesn't have shaky hands.

Then there is the random factor. I can win a level easily five times in a row and then go back to it hours later and lose three times in a row. Possibly I was just tired the second session, possibly I just got lucky during the first session. We will never have predictable win rates other than the few levels that are so easy you almost never lose.

And my criteria for grinding in the same city so I can build a monument is lower than for grinding to make greens or so I have resources to ship. For the second, the level has to be one I find fun, and that varies even for me from session to session.

So I'm very glad that there are multiple levels listed here. Even if they aren't ones I consider fun seeing it listed will encourage me to try again to get master level on it, instead of just moving on.

Bogota 92 - 3 is good for all three. I'm getting at least 12k of each, with lots of moves left. There are just four colors so it's relatively easy to make combos and lightnings.

The best is Rome 87- you get all 3 resources, and each game you receive about 30,000 each!

Lordkalvan, do you play on phone, ipad or computer? If you play on a phone or ipad or other mobile device with touch screen, I wonder if a stylus would help with making moves with shaky hands? Just a thought. I may be wrong, but if you do play on these devices, it might be something worth trying to see if you can make the moves with more accuracy. And I agree with all you said above. Very sensible.

mcainen: you are very right about Rome 87. I had to play it so many times to get the necessary green gems. It was a life saver for me. When you reach Istanbul 105-1, you will find an even better level. One that gives a minimum of 60k each and is almost impossible to lose, in fact the trick is to not win too quickly.

I understand the purpose of the list and I have never lost this level. OOo_jules_oOO I find the timed levels can be amazing for collecting tons of resources. Also, I referenced all 3 resources because that is how other people were specifying the levels (bricks, bricks and hats or all 3). Anyway, the way your wrote your critique pissed me off because it assumes I am an idiot.

Level 115 isn't on the list, I was suggesting it FOR the list.

Gumsal, I assume there must be a strategy for winning that level that I haven't found other than making multiple lightnings and I don't deal well with time pressure. What is the strategy you use so that the columns on the sides get cleared?
