Then There were none HELP

I am still on I think the first night. I found that flashlight and the battey"s I put them in and that was early in the game. and now it is dark I'm roaming around and can't get upstairs. The flashlight won't work Help. Should I start over. I can't go in the kitchen or any room that is dark. I am roaming by the front door .

if you have the flashlight with the batteries it should work. Just keep the flashlight in your suitcase at the top left corner of your screen. Try that

That's where I keep it but everytime I get to the foot of the steps it will not turn on. it says that I need the batteries. I can't go into the kitchen because it's dark so I'm stuck right??? Should I start over???

Are you sure there are batteries in it? In the suitcase ( top left corner of screen) if you scroll over it would say flashlight -with batteries. does it say that?

If you have picked up the Torch & The Batteries.. in your suitcase you need to combine the two so that it will work...
