I don't normally read Christain Fiction, but have read a book (this was back when i worked in a library and I sampled lots of things) The story was about a girl who started a daycare from her home and the man next door didn't approve. In the end the guy and the girl fell in love. I don't remember the author or the title, but it was a cute book and I enjoyed it. The message within the story was good too.

Hi Teresa!
I read LOTS of Christian fiction and LOVE it! My absolute favorite author is Karen Kingsbury. If you haven't read her yet, start either with one of her single books or short series OR if you start with the Baxter family books, start at the very first one which is called "Redemption" and read the entire series. They are fantastic! I also love Terri Blackstock, Brandlyn Collins, and Hannah Alexander. Kathy Herman is another favorite and I think I'm going to also like Steven James though I haven't started his series yet. Nancy Moser is a favorite also, but I tend to gravitate more towards KK, TB, and BC. I have a ton of books here waiting to be read. I also really liked the series by Mindy Starns Clark that has names of different coins in the titles.
It's really FUN to find someone who likes and reads so many of the same authors I do! I'm glad you posted this!

Try Francine River's the Mark of the Lion Series (3) - gripping, relatable characters and I literally stayed up all night to read the first book - only to find out... there is a cliff hanger at the end of the first book and I was dying to read the second one!
Also Dee Henderson's O'Mally Series are excellent. - There is one prequel - Danger in the Shadows- plus 6 books in the regular series.
Both of these series should be read in order if at all possible. I highly recommend them because they make you think and are fairly realistic (for fiction) about life's challenges. These authors don't try to create fairytale fantasies where everything is perfect and overly romantic.
I came away encouraged from each book and that is why I liked them so much.
enjoy.

I have some of Karen Kingsbury's book. I think I might have Redemption. I have so many books like you that it is difficult to remember. I really need to make a database of my Christian fiction and nonfiction books. I also have a bunch of Kathy Herman's books but haven't read any of hers yet...I don't think. Have you read The Eyes of Elisha series by Brandlyn Collins? There are only two books in that series and it is great. I also read a medical series by Hannah Alexander (can't remember the name) and loved it.

I read a lot of Barbara Lewis because I'm from that part of the country (Lancaster Co. PA) and that culture (Mennonite and Amish).

I haven't started the Elisha series yet, but am anxious to. I have a few more of hers to read before that one. Yes, Hannah Alexander actually has a couple of medical series that I've read. One of them starts with "Sacred Trust" and the other starts with "Second Opinion", and they are great. I love medical fiction as well. You would love Karen Kingsbury and Kathy Herman if you like TB and BC.

OH! I forgot about Francine Rivers and Dee Henderson! They are also favorites of mine but I haven't gotten into the Mark of the Lion series yet. Have you found anything new by Dee Henderson lately? She seems to have disappeared.

I have all of Brandilyn Collins, Terri Blackstock (cept her brand new one, just out....Intervention) and Lori Wick.
I really liked the 911 series by TB, but I think my favorite is the Restoration series. Don't know if I have a favorite series by BC except her 3 book romance series, as far as the suspense side which is what she went with.....I'd say the Elisha series. Also really enjoyed Blackstock's collaberation with LaHaye for a 4 book romance series. Lori Wick I'd be hard pressed to name a favorite series as I like them all, but I think my favorite stand alone of hers is The Princess.

I too have noticed a lack of new material by either Henderson or Rivers. I think Rivers is focusing on novelas over her better full length books - I have no idea where Dee Henderson went. Hopfully the silence is due to the fact she is about to release a whole new series! no? Well - I can hope can't I?
