No help from walkthrough for Hermit's Hill

SOS! I hare arrived at the Hermit;s Hill where the Peacock tells you to lead the lioness to the Hermit in the dark. The walkthrough tells you to light the rocks to the left of the torch. I have taken the matchstick and lit both torches and all over that blankety-blank hillside and nothing will light, nothing happens when I click either, so I am well and truely stuck! Send Help Quickly Please!

* Use the match on the right torch.

* Use the hammer on the pile of rocks.

* Click on the broken rocks for a jigsaw style mini-game.

* Fill in the hole with the rock pieces.

* Use the match on the LEFT torch.

*Use the hammer on the pile of rocks
