Question: how do I get my character to toss the chips around?

I'm happily addicted to this game, although sometimes I get frustrated when something happens that seems most definitely to be a programming thing that stacks the deck for other players. But it's not that big a deal.

And I've learned now about Texas Hold 'Em.

Has anyone else had trouble winning the wagon? I'm so sick of spending money trying to win against that crazy woman who raises on everything!

Thankfully, all you have to do is google this game and you can find a free copy to download and play. I would never pay a cent for this POS! As terrible as this game was the first time around, it is even worse playing it the 2nd time. Phoniest card game I have ever played. Whoever paid for this POS should demand their money back and make their complaints known to youda games, the idiots responsible for creating this POS in the first place. I know I am done with it for life after trying to play it again and all it does is tick a person off with all its glitches and phoniness. Just warning people about this game for the last time as I don't have the time for this game anymore.

what happened to the recent comments? Looking at the dates they go way back. Nothing shows for late November or any December. I know I posted my "shrunk" problem in technical issues. It's gone.

I'm absolutely hooked on this game. I've been an avid poker lover for many years. Love the theme of the Western days and also get a kick out of the charactors. They are not easy to beat that's for sure. One problem I'm having (since I'm playing with multiple identities) is when you've done badly after winning the mine, I can't figure out anywhere how to sell the mine so I can start over again. Can anyone help on this?

This game is terrible. I want my credit back. The cards are not at all random and the only way to get a fair shake is to 'fold and skip' or go all-in. There is no playability to this game at all. Shame on the creator.

Interesting concept for a poker game, but severely flawed. AI is programmed so you cannot slow roll. In tournament mode, odds are very stacked against you. In most cases at higher level tournament play, AI players will get a bail out when in "need chips" mode. AI has handicap and can lead to some very unfair play. Poker is indeed a game of chance, but is ruined when the odds are manipulated to "increase gameplay." At least all I paid was 2.99. The game is worth much less.

Oh, and needless to say, you can expect to get the worst possible hand on a Big Blind at least 85% of the time in tournaments.

I found an interesting little glitch that allowed me to see cards. Funny enough, it proves my statement about odds being manipulated by the AI. If you enjoy a good honest game, stay far away from this one. Save your money for an enjoyable game.

This is a really entertaining game and I like the theme of it and the UI. Unfortunately it cheats something awful and that kind of spoils it for people who enjoy their Poker (like me...)

After noticing some simply outrageous results, I did a statistical analysis of the hands over a period of several weeks. Within a single session, probabilities of many thousands to 1 occurred numerous times (two full houses and 4 of a kind occurring in the same hand, a straight flush and 4 of a kind in the same hand, and so on.)

I can understand the designers wanting to get exciting and dramatic results into the game, but it simply makes it "unreal".

Somebody seeking to improve their Poker will not do so with this game because the hands are nothing like the "real world".

Why not have a configuration option of "fun" (as it is now), and "serious" where it mimics real world probabilities and deals fairly?

I noticed there is a problem with the pseudo-random seed used for shuffling and the cards are not shuffled in a true random fashion. (You find the same cards from the last hand, being "re-cycled" into the next hand, more often than would happen by true random chance.

Overall, an entertaining implementation, but not for serious players.

When I first started playing the game and read the comments above, I admit that I contributed many to lack of poker playing skills. I am back to confirm Morepork's findings.

I am quite skilled at Hold Em and really enjoyed this game for the first two weeks. It was tough at times, and I had to take bank loans and sell a few properties to stay afloat, but I eventually bought every yellow and orange property.

Left the game for a week or so, but came back to find out that I could not win ANY game (tournament or cash game). After a couple weeks of frustration, I finally decided to keep a tally:

It took 167 hands before I even made ONE pair on the flop to a hold card. (I also counted hands that I folded on since I could still view my hold cards.)

In this same amount of hands, in the few times (less than 10) that I actually was dealt a pair, I never got trips in the entire hand.

This is just outrageously unrealistic in the real world.

Fun game, cute characters, but a complete uninstall from my PC.

Played for a month solid. GIVE THIS GAME A CHANCE! Yes it has a glitch or 2. Just keep trying. Once you understand how the game works you move right along. Hard going at first until you get some money under your belt. I had an awful time at first, but I am stubborn and persisted. Even if you have to re-establish a different persona (name) a few times. I have some understanding of this game ( I think) Post here with your questions...I will watch and respond. I will help if I can... Not your fault they didn't give more instructions.....IF you LOVE poker this game is for you.....they really did a good job with how real people play in a poker game. You know.....your bluffers......your idiots...........your mathematical betters............all kinds of players.....Kudo's Youda games! Most people won't understand... Want to be a viral game? More instructions and hints for us common folks! AND yes you have to fold and skip once in a while........So is it in a real game..........you don't always get dealt a good hand. Yes I really went ballistic a couple of times because I thought I won. So goes life.............once I understood THEIR understanding of Texas holdem rules I moved right along They really are consistently fair...IF you have no patience, THIS IS NOT the game for you..............Happy Poker for those of you that love the game......................MamaPug signing off!

demoed the game then bought it. As others have said fold/skip is about the only way to see others busted and get into the top three positions. High card/low card (above a 10 - below a 5) is almost always the pocket you get, thus trying to bait you to stay in the game. Dealing of cards should be completely random. I never play with music or voices so can not comment. ** you should be able to walk out of a cash only game after any hand if you choose to. I like the story line and the options on buying businesses and traveling to other towns, etc. Hope they continue the series and improve it, as it is the only poker for fun game I found on the net. Not sorry I purchased it and would purchase a GoP 3 if improvements are made. carl
