Filling in time now so going back to animate these crazy rides in Bogota - not easy! Did the daily deal today and for a 6 letter word in Maldives it was only 2 shovels a bit disappointing as I am getting a bit low on boosts and figure I might be needing them before the day is out!

I've often been disappointed by the daily event and if I can't get easily the first letter, I give up.

with the daily events or gold fevers, I look at each required one, if its easy, I do it, work through all the ones that are easy and get them done, at least that way, I earn some coins anyway, so I am ahead on that alone. then, when lives and time permits, I try and get a good board for any that are more difficult, and more often than not, as soon as I get a good layout on the board, I play it and most times get it out. If there are one or more levels that are just so difficult they are impossible, I give up then and wait for the next daily one. But on the whole, I get them out at least 4 or 5 per week and although sometimes shovels are all you get, they are still useful, but have overall build up an arsenal of boosts to get me through most tricky bits, the only things I ever usually buy is more time, more moves and more shovels, never anything else and I use a fair few boosts every now and then. So in the end, persevere, its usually worth it.

I am soooo jealous of you Grey Gummies riding the RoLLeR CoAsTeR, definately sounds as if you're having too much fun! Wish they would do AWAY with the timed levels! It's where I spend the majority of my coins b/c of my disability...these scratch tickets are driving me crazy! I want them, have never recvd ANY AT ALL & sounds like I'm not alone. I want to see one! Please CS, ticket us now! Would someone please tell me how you play games on the iPhones? Now I realize they are a bit bigger these days but I wouldn't be able to see the screen! Lol Is the game very, very miniature... I do Gold Fever and the dailys WHEN there are no Timed Levels... (demon coin taker) & if it starts relatively easy. Seems like there's times when nothing is working...stay well & safe, good people. Yes, yes GGG, pack your bags!

Everest challenge has just popped up on my iPad and will remain there for 2days and 22 hours.
I will wait until later today to play. Here's hoping the reward is same as when it last appeared.

I just did the first 4 levels and will wait till the 2nd day before I try the last one as I have to be away all day tomorrow! I had to use one lot of extra moves and a couple of shovels but hopefully once again we get that 2 hours of free lives!!

The only level on the Everest I had difficulty with was the second, timed levels never work for me. Lost two lives and finale used an earthquake boost. Other levels were okay. Finishing gave me 100 coins, 3 shovels and the 2 hours unlimited lives. Fun!

the second level for me of the Everest challenge isn't a timed level, so interesting that it is on your game! maybe when I get to level 3, that might be timed on mine. But the last two times the challenge turned up, I completed them both and none of the levels were timed, maybe its different on others?

Got the Everest challenge. Spent 40 straight minutes in Rio trying to complete levels. Complete WASTE of time. Did not accomplish anything. I am an experienced player, have finished over 25 cities. VERY disappointed, GD!

talk about a waste of time, today I tried to complete the daily challenge, got to the last one required to get through them, was determined not to use a single boost etc, had done well up to the last one. It was one of those that is nearly impossible to get the score up high enough, so when I had a reasonable score but ran out of moves, I spun the wheel, had nothing else to do today as I was busy doing a million other things, so set my alarm on my phone every half hour, kept re spinning the wheel, if I got 5 moves, made them, then spun again after half hour etc, just left it charging so no battery crash. That was at around 11am this morning. IT IS NOW nearly 11.30pm, running out of time, and in ALL those hours, I have only got the 5 bonus moves twice and am still so far off its not funny. Am just giving up. thats approx, 20 spins of the wheel consecutively for ONE game, just to get through it and the odds of getting it out should have been higher. I just can't be bothered with that strategy anymore, lucky I didn't waste my day sitting playing it over and over. I know if we get on here and grouch about something it usually works out the next time we play, but in this case, no more time really. am so furious with the game right now.

Jules: I share your frustration, but one of the things I really love about GD is the crazy unpredictability of the game. For example, today's first daily challenge puzzle was San Francisco 31. You have 40 moves to clear the split board. It was very hard due to many single block corners. I failed the first 4 times. But, the 5th time I got it with 24 moves to spare. The gummy gods just align.

Besides which, now that we have scads of boosts, many thousands of coins, shipping galore and have finished all available cities, let us remember our frustrations are all relative to those of newbie players.

Hi Snowman, yes, I know I was a bit crazy, but was so frustrated, I don't usually get like that, I just thought this time its not going to defeat me, but honestly, I couldn't believe it when spin after spin brought up nothing at all. Anyway, the 24 hours was up and now its onto a new one, tonight on my ipad, its in New York, there are still levels I haven't done, so its always challenging and yes, I too find that same situation over and over when it seems imposible and hey presto, you get it out and wonder why it seemed so hard the first LOAD of times you played that level, it happens to all of us. Have calmed down now anyway. So on with the game.

Funny, my challenge today on android tablet was in San Fran and fairly easy. I got two waterfall boosts and an extra 210 coins from the levels I had not won before.

My daily was London, 4 letters so I ended up with 240 coins and 2 cold fusion boosts. I've been wandering round the world finishing those missions where there are coins as a reward though I haven't been able to complete the one in Havana which has 1000! I will keep trying and not spending funds.

Hi friends! I've been away from the game for a few months. I sustained multiple fractures to my hand (OUCH!) when I slipped on a sheet of ice and have undergone surgery and physical therapy. Am able to use my fingers well enough to write again--and play GD!--and even did some spring gardening last weekend. I'm playing catch-up to many of you (gads, Snow and T-bird, you're in Bogata?!! Neena, pass me a mimosa!). But hey, it's wonderful to be back.

I'm at the tail end of Khatmandu and shipping resources like crazy. So good to join you again. I've missed you!

Great to have you back, we wondered what happened to you (at our age.....).
I have finished Bogota and waiting for Cannes. The game definitely gets easier if you can ship to avoid buying helping hands which are a waste of coins. Use the coins you save to buy boosts. By now, I am just playing to top off resources and bank coins and gems. I have 39000 coins and 105 green gems waiting for Cannes.

Last year my wife fractured her wrist bringing in firewood. I know it is no fun, but with good PT she is back 100%. Here in Vermont, we are just starting the gardens. Can't wait to get my hands dirty once more.

Welcome back Cat - great to see you again! Yes, I also have finished Bogota (or as much of it as I intend to do) and filling in time waiting for Cannes. Shipping is certainly the way to go, saves spending coins on HH - I haven't bought one of those for a very long time. Snow, you can come and get your hands dirty in our garden any time you like I was out there planting polyanthus this morning

Welcome back Cat. I'm still in Berlin on my I phone, shipping resources every day. Don't want to spend any money (have so far 10,455 coins) since I know what's waiting for me in NO
I'm on the last monument.
Snow, let me know about Cannes when it's released and you are able to start the city. Hope the background will be as great as the one in Paris.
