Cesse's Sunny Saturday 11/07/09

[Post New]by cesse47 on Nov 7, 09 6:56 AM
............ Hi Everyone!! .... Had a great walk outside this morning. Temps in the low 50s and should get to mid-60s later today. Hope to work in the yard after lunch just so I can get out in this wonderful weather. Always lots of pruning and other cleanup work to do in the yard. And, of course, have more leaves to move to the curb.
... Thanks to my friend Vaugh, I looked at a website for birdhouse baffles to prevent those pesky squirrels from jumping onto the birdhouse and feasting. It looks a little tacky, but I used a 2 liter plastic bottle on the top. Squirrel still jumped onto it ... but slid off because he couldn't hang on. Yea!! Quite funny to watch. He tried at least a dozen times before he gave up. Little Girl had a good time watching his persistent attempts.
... Hope everyone has a Super Saturday. Prayers going out to all my fishie friends and their families.

We have the squirrels too (tree rats). In fact there were five in the yard early today fussing, burying black walnut seed in the flower/vegetable beds.
I stopped putting out seed because of the undesirables. I found plain suet at Wildbird Center that they won't go for.

Frost zapped just about everything here but before I venture out I need to warsh some clothes, figure what's for dinner, and vacuum.

Enjoy our Wild America, ((Cesse)). Blessings to you and yours and (how many fishes do we have in this pond?) all the Fishies

Morning Cesse & pond fish!!!

It is a most beautiful Saturday here. The sun is out and the temps headed up quickly. By 7 the patio doors and a window were open, so the boys are enjoying a purrfect kitty cat day! Should be around 70 here for a high--so you couldn't ask for more!

Went out for fish last night at the golf club. It was just great--we are kicking ourselves we never went and tried it before. And the sweet potato fries and chips--yummo!!! So, guess we'll have to head over there more often!

It's been a tough week, so today I just need to kick back and chill some. DH left early to go up north and visit his mom this weekend, so it's just me and the boys until tomorrow morning. And you know what that means--yep, gaming, chatting, painting and the like.

Cesse--perfect weekend for yard work. DH hopes it carries into tomorrow so he can tie some things up. I should go out and do some things today--but I am just lazy today! Hope your carpal is doing better--maybe a day of rest did the trick! Those squirrels can be soooo funny. But, let me warn you, they sometimes figure out how to get around even the best of deterrents--very persistent and crafty little guys!

Hope everyone enjoys this wonderful day!!!

Well, I'm glad some have a nice day; it is getting colder by the day here. I had a late night/early morning playing game(Magic Encyclopdia) and reading, so went back to bed after starting a Full Computer Scan this morning. Not sure if I am awake yet.!! Will go to town later as GS wants to see friends.

Well, I hope all the have a good day/night.

Good Morning Cesse and all the fishies

Glad that worked out for you. The squirrels should stop trying to get to the bird feeder after they realize they cannot get to the bird food. Even the baffles you buy look a little tacky but it kept my beagle sane.

Very sore this week from my new part time job. I thought janitorial cleaning would be like cleaning house. NOT It is a lot of heavy lifting and hustle to get the job done. Someone put a lot of big manuals in the big trash bin I take to the dumpster. When I went to dump it I almost went with the trash (didn't expect it to be that heavy). I am the only one there so I have to be more careful when I do this.

Beautiful day here. Chilly, about 55 degrees but should get up to about 70 later this afternoon.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Cesse and All Fishies, it is really pretty here with a high around 67.

Played a bunch of demos yesterday. Decided to start playing R2R today. Been playing some this morning. It is my first time playing it. Enjoying it so far. Finding it a little difficult deciding what to do next in the game. I decided to go ahead and play it in case the new MCF has anything to do with Ravenhearst.

Hope everyone has a very nice weekend.

Hi Teresa

Sorry Cesse for hijacking this thread (this will only take a minute). I'm gonna play it sometime this month for about the 5th or 6th time. Did you just buy it or have you had it for awhile and now getting around to playing it? Curious because I could not wait to play it the day it came out. Love that game as most of us do. The puzzles aren't easy but fun. Enjoy.

Hi Vaugh, I have had it...just getting around to playing it. As a matter of fact, the only MCF games I have played so far are Ravenhearst and Huntsville. I have all the others...just haven't played them yet. I thought about playing the first one again and then this one, but didn't know if I would have time.

Good day, Fishies!
Another soggy day in Seattle. Not just soggy, but more wind, rain, and hail. November is usually a strange, transitional weather month for us, and this one is no exception. A friend of mine had her hard drive get blown out yesterday when we had a lightning strike. A good reminder to unplug the computer during lightning (which we rarely get).

Sounds like we're having quite a mix of weather all around the country. That's autumn!

Cesse, reading about the squirrels is so funny. A little free entertainment - the best kind!

Have a good Saturday. all!

Hi Geezing, I love black walnuts. Do you roast and eat them or do the squirrels get them all? As of today, we have 248,679 Pond members ... you can find the numbers at the bottom of the forum home page. Hope you're having a great day.
.
Hey Lilorange, hope you're enjoying a day alone with the Boys!! Tomorrow it's supposed to be sunny and warmer than today. So, I didn't try to do everything today; figure I need to baby my arm just a bit more.
.
Hi Cynthia, our weather is still fluctuating between cold and warm. I love that Michigan has 4 definite seasons. But, winter is my least favorite. I enjoy the new snow and how beautiful it can be ... just don't like bitter cold and ice. Hope you and GS enjoyed your visit to town.
.
Hey Vaugh, thanks for the link to the baffle pictures. So far, the squirrel hasn't been able to stay on the birdhouse. Sorry you're sore from the job ... but it's a new activity so will get better as time goes on. Take a warm - not hot - epsom salts bath before you go to bed tonight ... I find it really helps with sore muscles.
.
Hi Teresa, Hope you enjoyed the demos, did you buy anything? I loved R2R, hope you enjoy it as well. My very favorite game of all is still Madame Fate.
.
LOL Vaugh and Teresa ... not a problem. Feel free to hijack anytime to chat with someone; I really don't mind. But, I may also join in. LOL
