Navy Blue Angels

[Post New]by sillyfeet on Nov 14, 09 1:28 PM
I love watching them perform...but boy oh boy are they LOUD!!! My house happens to be right in their flight path (we are stationed in Pensacola where they are based) and this weekend is a show weekend so every few minutes during show time they are buzzing my house, scaring the you know what out of me and shaking my entire house. But they are a sight to see! And at least the show is only an hour long. Thank goodness after this weekend they go on hiatus for awhile before they start up practicing again in a few months.

Silly - I know what you mean. The Blue Angels only come to Seattle once a year, but when they do perform their show (and their practices - four days total) some of their routines have them flying right over my house. Yes, the windows rattle and the noise is deafening. But they are awesome.

I hear you, Silly. The first house my DH and I owned was in the flight path to the local airport that just happened to house an air guard unit. Saw the Blue Angels when I was a kid-they are amazing!

The Blue Angels are truly an awesome sight to see. When I was growing up in Chicago I lived on the 12th floor with a view overlooking Lake Michigan. I had a front row seat to the show, our windows rattled and it was absolutely wonderful.
