Baretta's "Craft" skill

I see Baretta has a "Craft" skill, but when I tried to use it, I only ended up wasting 10 MP. How does the skill work? Please help, thanks.

Baretta craft skill changes relics or artifacts to better weapons / armor.

Thank you, IBme. Now if I can just figure out how to get it to work. Maybe I don't have enough relics or artifacts. I'll try disarming them and see if clicking on her "Craft" skill does anything. I appreciate getting a response.
