Cesse's Super Saturday 11/21/09

.......... Hi Everyone. I'm going to a volunteer project this morning after my walk. Woke up earlier than expected so decided to post before I leave. We're filling the rest of the turkey baskets today; then will be delivering them to the various churches so they can distribute to parishioners in need.

I'm meeting my DD and DGD for supper tonight. Talked to DGD last night and she's bringing her new boyfriend. Afterwards, they'll be going to a play and DD and I will probably sit, have coffee, and speculate on the guy. I'm sure we'll agree "he's not good enough" for her. LOL

Skate Canada started yesterday and I enjoyed watching the short programs. Luckily, I get one Canadian TV station. I think Dance and Men's long program are on this afternoon.

I am not going to do too much today other than read and play some demos. Have lots of demos to try. This upcoming week is going to be a busy one. Have physical therapy, doctor appointments for my Mom, mine and hubby's anniversary, Thanksgiving, and I don't remember what else. I will be ready for the following week just to rest.

Beautiful day here. Cool and not a cloud in site. Sounds like you have a busy day planned. Have a great time at dinner tonight and try not to be too hard on DGD's new boyfriend. I am going to work out in the yard today after I get a few things done in the house. All our leaves are finally down so today will be our last rake of the year. Yeah. Hope everyone has a great day and will be keeping you all in my prayers.

Good Afternoon Fishies, it's sunny but cool day here.
Today's main chore is laundry, ours and grandsons I told him I'd do his with ours, I could see him taking it home for his wife to do, they only have the week-end and I know she doesn't want to spend it doing laundry, so I just put his with our and only had one extra load of his work clothes. I am really enjoying him being here during the week and it keeps him from making the 2 hour drive each way.
Hubby and I finished painting the back-drop for our church nativity yesterday, and it turned out pretty good even if I do say so I hope every one else is pleased with it.
Well dryer buzzed so I'm off to fold clothes, I hope every Fish has a warm and fuzzy day in the Pond.

I don't know what I am going to do today, I will be glad to have hubby home tomorrow (i think tomorrow, anyway) and today I think I may do a little shopping and go out to dinner. Just don't know where, as this is a small town and not a lot of selection beyond fast food.

Good Evening fishies.

Well it's rained all day, not as bad as Thursday, but still unwelcome for the flooded areas in Cumbria.

We went to our local library this morning to see an exhibition by Birdline UK, a charity that rescues, and rehomes parrots. Beautiful intelligent birds, and so misunderstood. Apparently they have the intelligence of a 4 year old child, but also can sulk, lose their temper and throw tantrums, just like a child!

Then to a Christmas Craft Fayre to raise funds for Coronation Gardens, A tiny park - just a field really, right by the sea here in West Kirby. The gardens are loved and cared for, and this was to raise money to continue that care.

Home for a swift bit of Ebaying (selling items for my ladies group to raise funds for our overseas charity).

Tonight I am off to the Williamson Art Gallery, to see Woody Mann, a brilliant guitarist from New York, (seen him loads of times), and Tom Doughty, a local lad who plays lap slide really well.

Then home to bed. Phew

Hi Nelliegemini, the parrot exhibit sounds interesting. Our library does wonderful exhibits as well; I always enjoy them. Did you find a special buy at the Craft Fayre? Hopefully, they were able to gain sufficient funds for the Gardens. Have an enjoyable evening.

Good day, fishies!

Sounds like everyone is busy today! I've decided it's time to do some serious cleaning today - all those dust bunnies in the corners are not invited for Thanksgiving, so I'm going to give them a home where they will be happy (in the trash). A little dusting, a little straightening - and then I'll be free tomorrow to play some games.

Got most of my Christmas shopping done the last few days (don't buy much anymore). I hate the crowds during the holidays. I have a few online things to purchase, probably tomorrow. Then I should be good!
