Inventory overload and stuck!

I have a hammer, lighter, 3 shapes, snowshoes, feather, fire extinguisher, crisps (chips), axe, sea salt, sunflower seeds and glass vial.

The only place I've seen but not reached is up an ice-bound slope to the second floor.

(I've been to the ruins, so I assume that I'm looking for the last character and her shape).

What next?

A fire might be nice......

Nah. The clue was at the end of the text. I'm in the quaint cottage.
I was missing the ladder from the barn.

Now I need the fire.

I am now carrying hammer / lighter / urn [for the ash] / snowshoes / fire extinguisher / crisps (chips) / axe / glass vial.

I know about the fireplace in the lobby. Next?

I'm still stuck though. I couldn't find anywhere to use it.

You hang on to several items until the very end.

I bet there is someone hungry enough to eat those chips....

I'm almost at the end though. I've done all except the ashes, for which I have an urn but no ash.

If you still need a fire try going for a walk back to the car, and keep the axe handy

axe to chop logs by entrance... start fire with lighter and chopped logs. collect ashes in urn.
