5 Spots - Released on November 03, 2003

[Post New]by bfgFlounder on Jun 18, 08 5:53 PM
Can you spot the difference between two seemingly identical images? Can you do it in a limited amount of time? This electronic version of a classic family puzzler pits your eyes against your expectations as you try to spot the differences. Featuring tons of images, and random changes, there's no end to the fun.

In my opinion, this game is a sorry excuse for an HO game. But that's just my opinion.

I don't think anyone is looking at this forum but in case anyone sees this from the $2.99 Deal of the Day, this is NOT a hidden object game. It's a compare pictures for differences game (I'm not sure what these are really called.) And for that, it's lots of fun. It's certainly just what I was looking for.

They're called "Spot the Differences" and welcome to the pond.

kishimojun,

Thank you. And thank you for the name. Do you know of any other "Spot the Differences" games, other than 5 Spots 2, which I also downloaded?

No, I don't. I loved 5 Spots but am not too good at it, lol. I do know that they are often used as "mini games" in hidden object games.

I know. I contacted customer support for suggestions, and they offered some hidden object choices. I'll keep looking. Again, thank you.

Art Detective is a spot-the-difference game, even though you will find it listed under hidden object games. You could try out the demo and see if you like it.

Howatch,

Thank you. "Art Detective" is perfect and just what I'm looking for.

I'm a gamer from days of Pong (and paid handsomely for the home version at the time), but as I've matured (read less hand-eye coordinated, more peaceful game seeking), discovering Big Fish has been terrific. And the two of you are great examples of the community here.

Again, thanks to both of you (kishimojun and Howatch) for the quick responses and leads. I didn't even know anyone was in this forum. I'm going back to get wet again.

Happy gaming, littlegamefisher. If I think of any other games that are strictly spot-the-difference, I will let you know.

I downloaded 5 spots to try after seeing on the 2.99 deal..and am addicted ever since
I usually play the hidden object games, but this is fun and challenging..always trying to get to the next level!

kelnjor,
If you like this, I do recommend 5 Spots II and Art Detective (as recommended to me above.) These "spot the difference" games are hard to come by but I'm hooked.

Enjoy!

I have been playing this game ever since it was offered as a $2.99 Deal of the Day
I really like this game, it is simple, quick and you can play it as long as you want, so it is great to just pop in and play for a couple of minutes and pop out.
I have only one objection to the game and that is the time that you have to see what you missed, it closes so fast that sometime you don't even get to see what was wrong or where it was.
Other than that, I love the game because it is a game that can fill a couple of minutes down time before I shut off the computer for the night etc.
