Maybe they could give those of us with millions of coins something, ANYTHING, to spend them on. Because doing morphs for coins is a complete waste of time for me.

Hmmm. What I'm about to suggest may very well be on the never going to happen list but...

We have a WoF, Dice, Puzzles, and a Lucky Diamond. Why not add another game. Off the top of my head (could be anything) a card game. The prize is a bag of airship items (10 or 15 of random airship items). It could cost 100 or 200 coins to play for a chance to win. I could suggest poker but I know there would be players that abhor gambling to negate that idea.

Just a ramble and not a serious suggestion. Although it could be the stepping stone for a better idea.

I couldn't agree more!....some changes must be made for level 76 players, and we also need NEW achievements, NEW goals!

This was one of the few areas that actually benefited a top level player since you could only HAVE the exclusive pets if you were up there. I would love the guarantee of airship items from the platinum chests. Now I am getting 3 airship items and mostly coins, or 3 stamps and a stack of coins?!

The game is already rife with gambling - what do you think betting gold coins on dice is if not gambling - so poker would be no different. It would just be something else I would never do unless forced to.
Some people would enjoy it, I'm sure. Just not me. I never have been a gambler.

How about a card game without the gambling? Gin maybe. I know, what's the incentive. There could just be a straightforward reward for playing, like the 50 coins you get for doing a puzzle. Play a hand of cards, get some airship items. That would be fun, different, & rewarding.

Yeah, but we had to work for those pets and actually DO the blue key quests. Now players can get blue keys from the puzzles and their pets.

So the devs threw a bone at us, and then put meat on the bone for the players who came after us.

I haven't read through all the pages of this post so I apologise if this has been mentioned already:

How complicated would it be to program it so that we could add coins (let's say a "pack" of 25? coins) or diamonds (a "pack" of 5? diamonds) to our "wish list" so friends with lots of money and diamonds could "gift" them to their friends?

That way those who are low on their own inventory and do not want to give their own supply away could send someone money or diamonds instead (provided it was on someone's "wish list"). Of course, if you don't have any money either it won't help, but for those who do and want to get rid of it, it would be a good and fun option.

Just a thought. I will let the experts figure out if that would be feasible or not. I know there are times I've had to "skip" gifting a friend because I had very little inventory of items they wanted but if they had money on their "wish list" I could have sent them something.

Silver Hawk:

I like your idea of adding another game; I have thought of that too. I was thinking of the Renaissance festivals; the games, activities they have there and some of those fit the "era"/Midnight Castle theme - I thought a card game too would be good.

I also thought "re-vamping" the "tournament" into something else like a dart game, card game or something that isn't based on "time or speed to finish" so people can relax and enjoy playing it and not feel cheated or frustrated. A lot of people have health problems so can't play much or very fast.

Anyway, just thoughts. Thanks for listening. Enjoy

PS Just think, if you could "cash" in all those coins and diamonds for real money and jewels how much fun you could have!

If you could would you give any of it away?

I'd be willing to spend coins for the chance to win airships items, but whatever the game was, it would have to be something relatively quick like the Fortune Wheel, Dice, or Lucky Diamond.

If it's going to take as long as the puzzles do, it should be free. Otherwise, I could just use the time to play the hidden object scenes and get airships items and more coins.

I could go for that on both suggestions. I know everyone will scream about not getting coins but there are plenty of ways to get coins.

There are plenty of ways to get coins. There are plenty of ways to get stamps and pet food (Fortune Wheel, Lucky Diamond, crafting wheel, chests in private room, stamps in pet chests, stamps in DQ chests, etc).

surely the developers could find an additional way for us to get airships items, especially since THEY have introduced new reasons for us to SEND airships - castle challenge, mini-events, and seasonal DQ's. I used to be able to use the seasonal events to restock airship items. Not any more.

If they won't do something to adjust the amount of items required to send airships (and this is my first preference), as a second choice, I think I like the idea of crafting airship items.

It doesn't take anything away from anybody (unlike the 15 coins drop from HO's). nobody is forced to do it if they don't want to (lower level players might not be able to afford to craft for ship items, but lower level players don't have to pack as many items on the ships to begin with). Use coins, a nominal amount of white or blue stamps, pet medallions.

A relatively simple, and quick, "game" akin to "Go Fish". Match 2, match 3, match 4, etc. Pay increasingly like the WofF to draw another card hoping for a match. Each additional match increases the number of airship items rewarded. The cards wouldn't have to be a standard deck, characters like our Enchanted trophy items.

I would keep drawing if it only cost coins like the Wheel.

Agreed !! The best option would be 21 and have three chances to beat the house. I know it's gambling but it's quick. Could still have a cool down like the dice table (preferably 6 hours NOT 12), but instead of diamonds to get in again early you pay with coins. Could even tag on an achievement for beating the house X number of times. Prize still being 10 or more random airship items. Additionally this feature shouldn't be made available until later levels (i.e. available at level 65 or higher).

Idea is open for improvement.

How about a DQ's Dream Wheel? Fill it with airship items, forged keys, rune stones, and torches (chose those 3 items because Rock Garden, Gargoyle, and Burnt Tree are the zoom zones we have to visit most frequently).

DQ Dream Wheel...like it, like it, like it!!! Still want to see multiple airships in one reward like the exclusive pets (used to) do.

Okay, another idea.

Expand the dice table to include 6 more opponents (Trina, Arabella, Keeper of the Castle, Mechanogle, Potionmant, Librender).

Cost to play 250 coins.

Assign a different airship item to each new opponent.

Set up achievements similar to previous dice achievements (beat Trina 100 times, etc) with similar awards for 3rd level (avatars). Also add achievement for winning x amount of airship items by playing dice.

Playing against new opponents would fulfill DQ dice tasks, castle challenge tasks.

Not sure I want to spend 250 coins for just one airship item when it takes 35 to fill a crate. But a bag of 10 random airship items I could get behind.

Do think they could expand the dice table. I would LOVE to have a Valeria avatar by beating her 200 times.

Forgot about her. Replace Keeper of the Castle with Valeria. How about charging 125 coins? Don't know if the devs would go for 50 or 75 coins. I think it should be an amount different from the other opponents. And each time you play them, it should be for an airship item. None of this win the item and then play for more coins nonsense.

Better. 125 coins is much better for just one airship item. Agree to the "None of this win the item and them play for more coins nonsense". Still have 3 tries but all three tries are an airship item win or lose.

Yep, this sounds reasonable to me.

Weeeeeeeeeeeell, I'm not going to pay coins for airship items when I can MAKE 50 coins and get the airship item for free from a HO.... just sayin.....

I do like the match game idea using characters from our Enchanted trophies - that seems relatively quick - depending on how many matches you try to get.... though, bfg does tend to promote gambling, sooooooo, they might go for a few games of 21 over a match game....

Hi Everyone,

Thank you to everyone that has posted in this thread and continues to post suggestions and feedback. The Moderation Team will continue to advocate for the players and pass along this thread to the Midnight Castle teams. Since it looks like the majority of the most recent posts are regarding the airship, I'll be sure to make an extra note of that when providing this thread to those teams. If we are aware of any changes within the game, we will be sure to post in the forums so that the players are more aware. Please note that if certain ideas haven't been executed by these teams, this doesn't mean they have fallen on deaf ears. Many different factors contribute to changes made in our games, especially in Midnight Castle that is available on three different platforms. The teams really do appreciate player feedback and suggestions so that they can help make the game more enjoyable.

We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any questions, or further information you would like reviewed by these teams, feel free to PM me or any of the Active Moderators.

bfgBellerophon
