Madness in my view!

[Post New]by Tatts138 on Mar 18, 17 12:57 AM
Just have the new update and I can start and finish a dive in an hour because I had to get my magic levels so high to clear areas and update windows etc..
Those of us who started this game earlier have struggled to update windows and doors waiting forever for amber bits, it took me four months to do, in my view a 3 year old could now play this game with ease, whereas the rest of us struggled with longggggg dives and upgrades etc.
I doubt some of the higher players will be seen much now until the rest of the palace opens up but even then we will be able to complete it in a heartbeat. as the products are so easy to come by.
A great game ruined! Just my opinion of course I am sure players on lower levels will love it!
To add insult to injury they took the forum away from within the game and now have to go online elsewhere to find it!

Yeah, they somehow went from one extreme to another. First a dive takes up to three days, now you can do two dives each day.

Others have speculated that the devs wanted as many players to get to the current endgame before they release more content. But that doesn't really makes sense.

If they release an update that opens up the rest of the palace, people will have finished that in a week or two (depending on how much one can play). The only way they can prolong it is with adding a lot more parts to the island (and maybe a second palace)

They have had the rest of the palace foundations in place since before I joined long ago last year. I think they have made it easier to keep new players that were not as loyal and determined as we were to spend on pearls, and play the game fast etc.

I don't see much on the horizon for those of us who have plenty of everything and are just treading water now ( sorry about the pun) if they cannot open the palace that's already there with foundations, how long would something new take? Frankly as I said prior in my last post IF they do open the rest of the palace it will be so easy to complete with so much available so easily now.

I feel the game is ending for us higher level players.Amber will be on sale everywhere not worth diving for, I have zillions of tiles every colour, and 120K in gold!

Its now become boring.

Well, we have no idea what will be needed to complete the murals, so it's hard to be sure that we'll be able to finish them quickly. They could use a new element which takes 12 hours to mine 1, for all we know.

Also, I never thought the game was actually about completing the palace. I felt that dealing with the main island area and buildings was what it was all about. Then, as an extra, there was a palace to build. Personally, I found that part quite monotonous.
So, I'm hoping that a new content update uncovers a lot more of the main island.

Others have mentioned that it's entirely possible that the structure of the dives will change again once new content is released.

It seems to me that many people were getting demoralised about how long it was taking to upgrade the buildings in order to get more magic. The current changes have kept them interested, at least for a while. From what I can tell, the changes to house upgrade requirements aren't that different to how they were before last October.

Even with all this amber, a lot of bricks are needed for the palace and it still takes 4 hours to produce 25 marvellous bricks and double that for 15 foundation bricks.

I'm not particularly defending the latest changes, but I do think they want to make it that longer players don't have a large advantage over newer players for the new content.

I can remember when we had to keep giving the diver magic to keep him underwater, now that was horrible.

The house upgrades now are a little easier than they were in September because you have a good idea what stone the balloon will return, the balloons are much easier to fill, and you have a longer time before they expire. You can now make upgrades earlier because you don't have to wait until glass or planks are available.

I agree that giving the diver magic to keep him underwater was horrible, but it was nice being able to let him run out of air and return to the surface so that you could go back to an earlier dive level if they became too difficult.

Mmmm I've been playing this game along time but I always say this game is ALWAYS subjected to challenge, you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time lol

There will be a reasoning behind what they have done.

I do agree it's taken me, as others along time to get where We are today and the game now is seems quick and easy BUT that being said watch this space, some more changes may be on there way.

I've loved playing this game so will keep going and see what happens next, I know I, like so many others have played the game the hard way and we ALL enjoyed playing it and getting where we are now ( so far ) otherwise we would have stopped playing along time ago.

This is a challenge my fellow gamers, rise to it, we all love a challenge haha lol

I am a little bit put out that they have took the connection out of the game to the forums but I can deal with that.

CONGRATULATIONS to all gamers that have reached the end of the game ( so far)

You have all work hard and spent ooohhhhh a very long time to get where you are.

The game will change again and the challenge will be on once again.

Happy gaming all, NOW lets see what happens next and hope it happens soon

I agree lets see some new changes I am at the end of the game so far and struggled for months to upgrade windows and doors etc it just so easy now for new players.
the only thing I can achieve at the moment is to get my storage to 1000 I am at 940 nearly to become 960,

Wont bother doing dives so much other than to aid new players with bricks and amber but I am pleased I now have my other big fish game midnight castle which has been updated incredibly since I last visited.

I will pop in every day to sunken though as I have so enjoyed it up until now.

Sorry, but I have to have a little giggle at this statement...since part of MCs updates made things "so super easy for the new people and we old timers had to work so hard..." that I'm sure you'll catch up with "the pack" in no time.

I'm one of those maxed out MC'ers that is now here checking out this game as MC is in a lull for me, and am super thankful for the catch-up mechanisms put in place here during the last update. Otherwise, not sure I would ever see much of anything completed for a few years.

Happy gaming!

I have been playing MC forever and left because I was in a lull too not sure yet what the updates hold but it was tough when I started so if its too easy there now I will have to find another!!!
We are not all children and need some stimulus, just finished a dive in under an hour now the whole day is full of red magic full symbols, pity we can't sell magic!

I think changing the goalposts so massively is poor strategy on the part of the developers. Basically they've gone from over reliance on amber to making it almost redundant and shifting the focus from tedious dives to slightly more amusing balloon rides.
I have finished the castle and I'm almost maxed out on magic by hitting it lucky and following a number of players for a few weeks that we're selling amber and bricks daily. I'm only on level 84 as I dropped filling requests on the boards at around level 79.
It'd be great if the developers had an expansion plan but it's quite obvious it's not a priority as I imagine it's more profitable to get new players that may spend real money than keep the loyal ones that won't happy.

I just wish they'd make up their mind and not change the entire way of playing the game with every update.

Also need to shorten the length of time that the seahorses take to deliver bricks as the dives usually finished before they get back!
I am not sure it is easier as we need more balloons to bring back the correct stones and enough stones. I never bothered with balloons as I always bought depleted stones from friends and made what I needed, now I have to wait to dive until I have enough from ballon trips as no one sells them anymore. I think the amber is better balanced than before.
Think of this as a sort of Beta game and the input of constructive opinions are how the developers move forward.
It is a free game so relax and embrace change.

I wish for the update to open up the last palace area, boredom is more frustrating than any other aspect of this game.
