my thoughts on the puzzles

[Post New]by Peachme16 on May 19, 17 8:12 AM
Know there have been many comments on the puzzles but I thought I would post how I play them. 1st off I am at level 76. I would not call myself an old timer but middle age and I am in the millionaires club and have all of the pets... So my play would be different from those on lower levels. My 1st problem with the puzzles was deciding what to ask for... I did not really need anything.... then I thought why not go thru the crafting list and see what I do not have in my inventory and made a list and slowly started to check them off with wins. Once I won one of everything for crafting I decided to try for two.... I am now slow working on three of everything and I am in the H's. And I am not much of a chance taker... if I have a loss already and can get the diamond... I take it. I have been pretty lucky lately... twice this morning I won all 3 items. So there are good days and bad... all I will say about my tell is... I watch what hand the item goes into and watch the shoulder roll... (because once I say... it stops working)... and it has been working pretty good for me but not all the time.
And just 3 diamond wins equals 5 carrots (they are 3 diamonds a piece right?).

So I am not sure if this post will help anyone.... please try and keep comments on a positive note...... it has been a long time between posts. Watson

I am glad you have a "system" that works!
I have a "system" that I am prepared to share with everyone.
One that will make the Developers smile!
It is one that does NOT work!
I cannot remember the last occasion that I got all 3 items and I only get the diamonds about half of the time.
I won't ask what your system is for obvious reasons however!

Nope, I ignore them also..........only won all 3 items twice.......takes too long to win 50 coins........can do that in a HOS.

I am definitely not in the millionaires club. At level 70 and playing very lean, I need the 5000 eggs. Today I got one, plus an additional 15 diamonds. Yesterday I got 2 eggs, and the day before, one.

Of those four eggs, I only guessed one without a "try again for 8 diamonds". I do spend the diamonds, up to 32 is the most I have ever had to go, but then play for diamonds for awhile to replenish, and sometimes get a Stone Flower in the bargain.

As far as a system goes, strategy is picking what to play for, and what order each item will be handed off first, second, etc.

I also try to pick up on a pattern, and look at it not as right hand/left hand, but as opposite or same hand as the one it was given. Yeah, right/left, same/opposite, same thing, but my brain seems to see it clearer that way.

Regards,
Czoe

Peachme, I like your system. It sounds like something I might try to make it more interesting and it gives me a goal to work toward. Good idea!

I play puzzles waiting for the new day. I have some success. If I guess correctly on the first puzzle that seems to lead to better success over all. I rarely play all eight puzzles.. I find blue boy's smugness quite aggravating!!!

I play the puzzles every couple of days - mostly I win the diamonds, twice I have won everything, others just one award. I never gamble. As soon as I lose I take what I've won. I wish this had been available when I was so desperate for coins and diamonds. If you can win a good egg, it's a quick way of getting 5000 . Worth the (lack of) effort me thinks!

I also play 3x per day for diamonds. Wish list also includes items with high shard value. I try to match Trina's quests with DQs-takes a lot of shards to do that. And for me, DQs take a lot of diamonds, too.

I play the puzzles once a day usually,I'm happy if I win diamonds & anything after that is a bonus for me.I have been getting the diamonds from approx. 5 of the puzzles each time.I've never spent any diamonds on the puzzles,

I like the puzzles and play them daily. I am using them to build my inventory so I look to see what I'm low on and am trying to build up to 10 each of every item. That's my own personal achievment.

The nice thing about the puzzles are, you don't have to play them if you don't want to. If you are out an item you can do a puzzle to try and win that piece.

I have not played the puzzles in several months. Luckily I am a player that doesn't need anything at the moment and it just seems like too much work with poor results.

I have only played 1 puzzle during the whole SE - it reminded me why I quit playing them! I just don't need the aggravation.

Kind of like eating potato chips once every 10 years, just to remind myself WHY I don't eat them!

Well... I love potato chips... eat a few everyday.... since my post yesterday.... have won more than 100 diamonds and a few ZZ items too. Better odds than when we could play the tournaments for diamonds... So they are doing fine by me.

The puzzles imply that the item is in the hand of the kid, so you should have a 50/50 chance each roll. I win much less often than that, sometimes only one in10 or more rolls. Obviously the game is set up to NOT give you the prize as often.

Watson, I am very similar to you! I check the hand and the shoulder roll. Same shoulder and hand I choose that one, different shoulder to hand, I choose the opposite, hardly infallible but works reasonably well.
I do the puzzles occasionally, I am rather fond of jigsaws!

Enjoy the game,

I really do like jigsaw puzzles, & I think the ones with Anabel & the Knight & the Dragon are just beautiful - it's the cheating, smirking con artist kid I can't stand!

Maybe I'll give them another try after the post-event-depression sets in.
