Random Item Clicker vs List Follower

[Post New]by FishyBiotch on Aug 11, 17 2:31 AM
Just curious how others do the HOS ...

Me, if its a scene I have done many times and I know what items are on the list I usually start out with the random clicking of items. if/when it seems im not getting anywhere I start looking at the list and picking off a few items but inevitably go back to the random method ...

if its a new HOS that I have not done many times yet I usually follow the list and for the first few times on the silhouette mode I say to my self a lot "what is that?!?!?' LOL

I used to rush through the scenes thinking the faster I went the better off my score or rewards would be, finally realized you don't get more gold for a higher score so now I no longer stress speed so much

just curious how others do it

random item clicker... unless nothing seems to be coming off, then I go to the list out of frustration.... sometimes, I AM clicking on a correct item, I'm just not doing it EXACTLY so it's not moving.... which.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

I follow the list, unless I am very tired or fed up and I start clicking on just anything (even items belonging to the scenery). For the spring rooms, definitely a random clicker, with (my own) music as loud as possible so that I wouldn't think about anything while doing the same scene so many times a day!

The worst thing is that if I am looking for an item and can't find it, I keep on looking for it instead of simply moving to the next one. Grmbl this gets on my nerves and I scream at myself to move on but I can't help it most of the time. I blame it to the fact that I have to translate it before looking for it (yeah right, after 3 years of playing the same scene!)!

Oh and those items with holes (heart, barbed wire, Celtic thingy, you name it), I agree with you gohill, they are soooo annoying!!!

List. Definitely. Compulsively. In order. It's annoying.

Random, as I can watch tv at same time........
Feels like I am building inventory, coins without trying!

Random .. only look if I don't see any of the items. Often I don't even realise the scene is mirror or silhuet

I am a random clicker too.
I like to clear some objects first:- barbed wire, spiders, knives etc and save the preferred objects until last - wreath, ballerina, cake.

I gave up trying to get high scores as I just do not have the speed.
On new scenes I am more likely to follow the list as I work slowly and keep my score low to maximise repeat visits.

I follow list but found if I look for 1 item at a time (not read the whole list) my peripheral vision sees so many items that I remember and can go faster. The artwork is great and I take the time to find the treats in the HO's. I love the diving turtle in the boat, Cinderella mouse fluttering eyes etc.
Take time and have fun. TOAD

When I first started to play, I followed the list....looked for the items, selected them, and looked back at the list.....until......I noticed that sometimes an item on the list just wasn't in the scene (and I had just spent 2-3 minutes looking for it)......so I gave up on the list.

Now, I just click on the objects that I know are there to be found and only glance at the list if progress seems to be at a standstill.

I usually do random clicking if it's a HO scene I've done many times.. seems to work for me. Look at list only if stuck on something.

I started out as a list follower, but as time went on I became a random item clicker.

Since I play on a PC, when the tournaments were introduced, I went back to being a list follower.

When the tournaments were put on hold, back to random clicking, which is where I guess I will stay since the tournaments aren't going to return.

They're not?
boohoo bottom! I liked them..

I do both (sometimes at the same time) - probably more random clicking though...love following the list in silhouette mode!!

Wow, I guess I'm in the minority...list only. But not in any particular order. My peripheral is pretty good so I just glance, remember a few, then glance some more while clicking. I tried the random clicking once before when this was brought up, but out of 22 possible objects I clicked the 16 that weren't on the list first . Not for me, but if you've got the skill go for it

All,

I have a weird pattern for routine HOS; I go around the HOS in a circle clicking on all the objects. Usually, by the time I make the circuit, each item I've taken off the list has been replaced by something else. It usually makes for a reasonably fast time to clear the HOS, which for daily rounds is all I want.

I should overcome my OCD and try this. I need to replenish airship items.

Follow the list but do try to click some extra items as I go.

And when the new HOS appear, it takes some of us a pretty long time to "learn" where things are ---- part of the fun, I suppose.

Very true cbtx, it takes some getting used to as to where they are hiding lol and for sure it is part of the fun finding them all then trying to beat your own score.
