Collectible Swirls

[Post New]by charlene_lane on Aug 12, 17 1:23 PM
Is anyone else having trouble finding the collectible swirls? I'm in the forest, mirror pond and dark glade areas and am unable to find any of them. After looking for ages, I did the unthinkable and looked in the Strategy Guide. However, where they are supposed to be located, they are not there in the game? Is it me or do we need an update for the game? Help please fishies.

The "swirls" are not easy to spot for me either - but Mad Head Games allows you, to hunt for them later, when finished main and bonus game.

So I relaxed, played my game - and had a look later!

I decided not to strain my eyes and not look for those collectables, which are very very hard to see on the dark backgrounds.
I am also tired of getting the same collectables as were in previous games. It makes it easy for the devs, but dull for the players.

And since I would only buy a CE if I like the collectables, which I don't in this game, I will wait for the SE.

Thanks guys. However, when I looked in the Strategy Guide, where they are supposed to be, they are not there at all. I'll play the rest of the game and bonus and see what happens after that. I hate moving on from a scene that I cannot finish.

Ok, so The collectables were exactly where the guide stated in my game.
Dark Glade-On the front of the left most locker on the left of the screen.
Mirror pond- On the side of the arch of the bridge that makes up the bridge floor (as opposed to the hand rails), just left of the left most bridge post.

For some reason the locker seemed to be missing from the picture in the strategy guide (maybe it was taken from an earlier version of the game when that scene looked slightly different)
But either way the red square in the strategy guide pic for that area was still in exactly the same spot as where the swirl was.

You haven't already clicked on them and not realised have you? What does the collectibles symbol above the hint button say, does it still indicate a morph to be found in those areas?.
The swirls are pretty easy to see once you know where to look so If they really do not appear in your game then there must be a glitch.

In my game, the collectables were also where the SG said they were. However, they were so hard to detect that you had to just click in that area to get it, without actually seeing them.

I don't want to find collectables, having to look at the strategy guide each time to see where they are. I don't mind having to check the odd one, but not all of them. So for me that is not what I call finding collectables, and therefore will only get the Standard Edition when it's out.

Thanks Sazoria and Valdy for checking the swirls in your Strategy Guide. In each of these locations there is definitely no swirl to be seen and the swirl icon stays dark. Yet I've had no problem in other scenes. I've given up and if I find one, then great. If not, I will wait until the end of the game and try and find them then. However, in my review I will be letting everyone know what they may expect and to perhaps leave the swirls until the end of the game. Disappointing though as the game is too easy and I really enjoy finding collectibles. Thanks for all your help - most appreciated.

Will be looking forward to seeing your review, either on the sales page or here, based on the completed game...the overwhelming number of reviews on the sales page have obviously been based on the demo only. (I admit, I just submitted one of my own based on the demo, at about 6:30 pm, Pacific time, on 08-15-17.) I much prefer to read reviews based on the COMPLETED game; at the same time, for those of us who will not be purchasing, I think it's important for the devs to know why. Hope that beyond the snafu w/ the collectibles the game was enjoyable to you.
