Just to be clear - I would *never* purposefully go thru a game quickly. Seriously just curious about times. I read everything, watch all movies, take time to bask in the incredibly fabulous artwork. True, I kept forgetting to look for morphers, and I did not find the Easter Egg levels(s?) and need to go back and try.

I was also interested in times cuz people often ask about duration but obviously that varies greatly based on the individual.

But if ever there was a game that deserved savoring this is it. I am a savorer. So I applaud all who take their time, and if you'd like to share what that time was, post here. There. That was said better.

Well thanks, Max.

Just to be clear? The *only* Poodlebears out there that are me is the one here, the one on Gamezebo, the one on Facebook (I don't go there anymore tho) not the guy on MySpace (on MySpace I am Yohimba) and one in the Barbie Collectors Forum. ...and yes, I do have a *very* simple web site as is mention in item 1.

I appreciate the out pouring by all those joining in. BUT seriously, I have been thanked plenty of times and it's totally unecessary. Sooo glad y'all enjoy my reviews. That's the big thing, tho being an ol' retired broad expected sporadic posting. Anyway, thanks.

I know what you mean. As I could tell I was nearing the end I slowed down some savoring it all. I should have slowed down more cuz I missed out on finding the secret levels, but that just means I get to play again!

BTW -I didn't skip any Puzzles and used no hints. In Return to Ravenhearst I did but had about the same playing time.

So would you say this is the same game as Rosecliff Island in a different setting? Spintop seems to make the same games over and over, which is not a bad thing as they do Old School HOGs better than anybody, just wondering if anyhting had changed?

I know! I had an electric blanket over my legs and a hat on cuz the game made me chilly!

My first finishing time was 5:14 so I got the "A Bit Chilly" achievement (less then 6 hours) If you've finished I'm curious what folks times are?

I have a jack, hammer, lighter and torn paper in my inventory. Where now?

Just a warning - you don't get the spark plug for a LONG time. I kept thinking it would turn up because you know you need it so early, but it's late in the game actually.

Too brain fried to write a real review and I need to go to bed now but suffice to say this games is utterly POODLEBEAR APPROVED!!! (and then some) My game time as recorded by the game was 5:14 and I don't believe it times during cut scenes and reading etc, so nice long game. My first time through Ravenhearst was about that too. I think this is a smidge easier than Ravenhearst but just as enjoyable. I have to play it again because I did not unlock the hidden levels (dang!) or find all the morphing objects. I was a *little* slow running on my old system but not bad.

Didn't find a secret room... NOR did I find either Felix. I got the rabbit head... ACK! I just realized what to do with the rabbit head!!! DOH! *sigh* BUT I sure don't know where the other one is. Will need to replay, obviously, but brain fried now.

I wrote down the credits puzzle to research later. Thought it was cooooool it was there. Will let ya know if I make anything of it assuming I find the secret room later...

LOVE everything about the game and am just now taking a break to let my brain rest on a tough puzzle I know how to solve but is proving tricky BUT when I excited the game all my icons were shoved off to one side like it had changed resolution and not saved the position. I've seen this on older simple games but am surprised to see it on this. Serious pet peeve of mine cuz I have things arranged just so.

Other than that...

Love it!

Please do not buy it until then.
I assume those of you who did will be able to download from your purchase history when it does launch, but this is not "official" and worse case may require you to contact customer support.

Again, I am 90% certain you will be fine if you have pre-purchased it before the release, but I would advise waiting until it is released.

P.s. Like the rest of the page, the 973kb was simply placeholder while we tested the page.

There's a page for all the games considers Kids Games:

http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/genres/26/kids.html

but it doesn't specify ages. You could do demos and judge from that.

I am a person *highly* suggestible and it is super easy for me to "immerse" in well crafted media - in other words my hubby laughs when I'm watching Deadliest Catch and have to put on a wrap and turn on my space heater. Just watching the *video* for Dire Grove had me shivering both with spooky and cold! I'm gonna need cocoa, my slippers, my electric throw and my fleece hat!

Journey_1 wrote:Fresh Ginger is like eating perfume to me. Anyone else feel the same?

I like the flavor of ginger but agree on the fresh stuff. I once ate an amaaaazing home cooked meal prepared by some people from China and it was all incredibly delicious but in one bite I got a BIG sliver of ginger, probably about an inch by .5 inch and it was all I could do not to spit it out. Politeness prevailed and I managed to swallow but *shudder*.

MsFreddie wrote:I thought this games was going to be around 600 megabytes and therefor available on back up CD. When I go to buy the game it says it's 943.78 kb (?) and it looks like it's too big for a backup CD. Can someone please confirm the situation cos I would love to have it on CD as well.

That page isn't the real page, it's a place holder. Picman posted and the hardrive space required is 600MB. Often download files are smaller than the required hard drive sopace because files "unpack" when installed. But at the most it will be 600.

I play some game every single day, usually for several hours. Often this is World of Warcraft but I always stop by here after midnight to see, and usually at least try, the TGT. If I like it I often play it through after that. I am a woman of leisure and it is my primary source of entertainment.
