Right now I'm listening to Strangers in Death by J. D. Robb. Robb is actually Nora Roberts and under this name she writes about Eve Dallas who is a homicide lieutenant, set 50 years in the future or so. She's written about 25-27 in the series. It's really terrific character development. Each book is a separate murder mystery. Since book 1 the characters and relationships have developed. Roberts is great at this. Love her books under the Nora Roberts banner as well.
Cesse--right now I am just hooked on the Eve Dallas series! Don't know how I missed it all of these years. I've been listening to it on cd, and just love the reader, Susan Ericksen. I just picked up Born in Death to try it, then went back to start at the beginning--I think I'm listening to the 3rd one now. Also, just finished an interesting combo--Nora & JD. 1st half is set in 1998 and is a Nora Roberts tale, 2nd in the future with Eve Dallas--very interesting concept. The title was "Remember When".
I like most all authors I've tried, but tend to the mystery and legal types. Won't list them all, but like Patterson, Janet E., Gerrtison, Kathy Reich, Patricia Cornwell & Iris Johansen to name just a few.

Haven't tried this one yet--so many new ones out there. I did like the first one, but will agree after some of the others it isn't quite as much as a challenge. I'd probably put it in the category of the HO games I like to have handy if I only have a short time to play.

I do agree with many of you that have posted--forums do cut into the game time. However, it is just too enjoyable to share ideas and meet new folks to not post! I think it is worth the time to chat--even if it is electronic talking it is personal interaction, and so often now days we lose that wonderful aspect.

Good morning all fishie friends! Sounds like everyone has their days planned and things in order. Mine is going to be a busy one. I have to work until around noon, then I have a hair appointment. After that, I need to pick up some bisque for a seminar next week, then back to work. This evening, I have mystery book club. Then, if the weather holds out, will go over to the Wednesday night concert at the village hall. Haven't finished to book yet--so will have to do that after work and before the meeting. Doesn't look like any games today, but the weekend is almost here! Wishing everyone a great day!

Now Memaw, we all have to grow up and move on sometime. And I promise, when your starfish time comes, we won't let Scotcat dry you up and put you on her mantel! [/q uote]
Those were my thoughts exactly--please not a complaint! She's just keeping us on our toes. I better be careful and start growing up fast--please scotcat--don't dry me up!

Hey guys--count me in on those Margaritas! I love to read (and listen to books on cd too). I like gardening and of course, playing with my boys. I also love to paint and do ceramics. I like listening to all kinds of music and have quite a cd collection. Other collections change over the years--plates, figurines, etc. Right now, I'm getting a small collection of the painted ponies--the spring pony with the tulips is awesome!

memaw7 wrote:Now that I have all you fishie friends I feel kind of bad going to eat sea food tonight, but I'll force my self!
Have a great dinner memaw--fishies understand that craving for seafood--just check names before you start eating! And btw, the game club is a great deal--and it is also nice if you want to send gift certificates to friends for games--you can get as many as you like at the low member price of $6.99. Now that is fun and with costs the way they are now, cheap entertainment!

scotcat wrote:Hey lilorange.... I have to really pull out the computer glasses for these old eyes to see your orange print. Let me try something since I know you like orange.
I hit "preview" and I can read it much better in bold print.
Thanks for pointing that out scotcat--I'll try to bold it or change to a darker orange--is this any better?

Wishing you a beautiful and special birthday. Gee, it is kind of deja vu that BF gave you a new HO--and I think this was one on your wish list. Therefore, I think you just HAVE to get it! Enjoy your special day with family and friends and celebrate!
I'll second scotcat's three wishes, as they are just perfect! And scotcat, thanks for making sure we can all have some cake--think I'll have a piece right now!
