The more I look at the barrel, the more I think I disagree. There are 5 lighthouses- in my opinion too many to be just a reference to something seen from afar in RTR.

The strategy guide is extremely well done and answers every question and has every solution except one puzzle that was changed at the last minute. This game is only semi-linear. Perhaps you did not read far enough.
